We were there 3 years ago, and the decrease in quality was obvious. The resort was still clean, and (most) staff were friendly and helpful (one staff member was rude when I brought to his attention that a restaurant was closed unexpectedly, without it being noted anywhere, so we were lined up with many others for 30 minutes only to find out we couldn't eat there). The service has gotten worse, in very simple areas. We had to request our mini fridge to be restocked after 4 days. Dirty towels would be picked up from room but not replaced with clean ones; the room cleaning service was minimal, focusing only on making beds and picking things up (garbage wasn't emptied, shower was never cleaned, etc.). All restaurants and snack bars constantly ran out of food items and restaurant menu items were frequently unavailable. Things like towels were constantly unavailable. Drink quality was inconsistent. There was quite a bit of disrepair throughout the resort. Pool chairs were never available, because guests would reserve them the night before and staff never removed them (at other resorts we've been to, staff would clear all seats before the pool opened). People were reserving seats with apples, trash, even tables from the pool placed on top of the chairs, and nobody oversaw it. When we arrived from the airport, nobody greeted us, we had to carry in our own bags (a bell boy eventually did bring a trolley to load up our bags after we checked in), and there was no front desk staff. A concierge tried to help us but had no idea what he was supposed to be doing. Once someone did show up and we got checked in at the front desk, the lady put the bracelet on my wife's wrist too tight, and then said if we wanted it redone, we would have to pay... even though she had clearly just put it on too tightly. The resort was clearly understaffed. Despite the vast majority of staff being incredibly friendly and trying to be helpful, they were clearly overloaded and overwhelmed by the amount of people. Please staff your resort properly. Honestly, it was just a worse experience than we had 3 years ago at Sensira. We were so excited to return, and while we still enjoyed our time in Mexico, we were disappointed by the resort. Ownership has let the quality decrease, and I'd be amazed if they pretend like it that isn't already obvious to them. We've stayed at more affordable resorts in the last 3 years with much better service and a higher-quality experience. Based on this week's experience, I sadly do not know if we will be back to Sensira.
A special thanks to Sandy at front desk. She is super sweet and helpful. Made our stay more comfortable. The location is great since it’s close to airport. But we came at the seaweed season and it wasn’t possible to swim yet. They have been cleaning whole day now and hope we get the chance. Very family friendly. Adults only area is super nice, quiet.
The water aerobics was so entertaining and fun! I had it with Gerardo and it was such a fun experience! I loved the trip and how big the resort was! I loved all the activities and the service and weather was great!
Overall nice time, will like to note just a little better communication regarding restrictions for restaurants. All worker were friendly and respectful. Noise level was pleasant, very clean and warning atmosphere.
Had a great 7 day stay. Very safe. Staff very friendly. Food was great me and the kids loved it. Very clean. Only little thing was it’s under staffed. Workers working extra hard to try to make up for that
