Don't stay here. They have very unethical business practices. I was unable to get to Madeira because of extreme wind. (All flights to the airport were cancelled for two days.) They refused to assist me in any way by offering hotel credit, refund or moving our reservation dates. I would not do business with these guys again.

Stayed here end of April/beginning of May for a week, the room was OK and so was breakfast. The weather wasn’t great and cold and wet and there was work be done at the pool with noisy cutters and jack hammers which made it unrelaxing. There are plenty of nice bars and restaurants behind the hotel and there is a quick shortcut there. It’s a short walk to the old town but that is very busy when there are cruise ships in.

I’ve just spent two days at the Next Hotel and honestly, it exceeded my expectations in every way. I stayed on the 10th floor with a beautiful sea view — the room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. All the staff were friendly, attentive, and professional throughout my stay. I had dinner at the hotel and it was excellent, with great service to match. Breakfast offered a wide variety of high-quality options — something for everyone. The good weather allowed me to enjoy the outdoor pools, and I especially loved the rooftop pool — definitely a highlight of the stay. Overall, a fantastic experience and one I would happily repeat. Highly recommended!

Fantastic hotel, close to centre and easy to walk anywhere. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Spa, pool and sea access were amazing and the food at the restaurant/pool bar was surprisingly good! A fantastic stay, we can’t fault it at all!

Overall experience was mixed and value for money is mediocre. Overall, below the standard expected. The decor of the hotel, supposedly as a party place, is incredibly garish and ugly (plastic ducks in the lobby, neon stripe quotes likely targeted at teenagers, non stop pa try videos in the lobby). It is already very dated. Rooms are a good size with nice sea view but not well designed (no cupboard for clothes, overflowing shower). Juices and coffee (vile instant coffee only) were really poor quality at breakfast. Not recommended.
