I went to celebrate my special Birthday and we had the most amazing stay at The Roc Club , Maria and George and the rest of the Team made our stay super special so kind and helpful . The hotel was also very stylish and luxurious , our room was a suite very comfortable and cosy , we had a balcony with view towards the sea perfect for evening drink or morning coffee room also had a very nice minibar . The breakfast was absolutely divine with everything you might fancy . Short walks for lots of cafes , restaurants and bars Maria recommended some she liked and they were very good Rumor is a lively fun restaurant /bar very nice cocktails ,Sofi was also a very cool lunch coffee shop place near by they also have a very nice deli . One day we walked to lake Vouliagmeni beautiful spa place with restaurant and bar it was definitely worth a visit . Athens is a short drive , we took taxis to get there very easily Bolt worked well . We went to a concert with Anna Vissi and saw Akropolis and Parthenon and just walking around exploring was great fun so many exiting areas to see . We had an amazing stay and we would definitely come again Thank you

The best attentive hotel staff I have ever encountered. Was made to feel as part of the family. Room, amenities and hotel location is beautiful, relaxing and comfortable. Would highly recommend The Roc in Athens to all and anybody. Regards Jarl & Sue

I held off writing this because the staff assured me the manager would call to address the issues. That never happened, so here’s the reality. This hotel is a complete waste of money and nowhere near 5-star standard. At best, it’s an average 3-star trying to charge luxury prices. We spent the night without air conditioning because it’s apparently switched off to save costs — completely unacceptable in a so-called premium hotel. The property itself is poorly maintained: the exterior is dirty, the rooms are tired, and worse, there are genuine safety concerns. The balcony glass feels dangerously unstable — lean on it and you’d seriously question whether it would hold. It’s an accident waiting to happen. Breakfast was equally disappointing. We were told there was no decaf coffee, only to later discover that there was. That pretty much sums up the level of service — careless and disorganised. The airport transfer was another farce. We were charged an outrageous €70, and the driver — who looked far too young and unprofessional — refused to pick us up properly, instead instructing us to cross two lanes of busy traffic for his convenience. Yes, the fee was eventually removed, but that doesn’t excuse the experience or the absurd initial charge, especially during a taxi strike when guests are already stuck. The pricing throughout the hotel is blatantly opportunistic. €50 for a single shot of Glenfiddich is beyond excessive — even top-tier hotels don’t charge that. It feels less like hospitality and more like exploitation. To top it off, the justification for these prices (shared via WhatsApp) was almost laughable. It shows a complete disconnect from reality and what guests expect when paying premium rates. Places like this damage the reputation of Greece’s hospitality industry. There are far better hotels offering genuine quality, professionalism, and value — this is not one of them. During the morning hours, when outdoor conditions are warmer, the system operates in cooling mode, while in the late afternoon and evening, when temperatures drop, it transitions to heating mode to ensure a consistently comfortable environment. At present, the system is operating in heating mode in line with these conditions. Should you feel that the room temperature is warmer than your personal preference, please do not hesitate to inform us. We would be more than happy to arrange lighter bedding or provide any additional assistance to ensure your comfort at all times. We also appreciate your observations regarding our facilities, including the pool area and sunbeds. Please be assured that your comments have already been communicated to our higher management team, so that the necessary actions can be reviewed and addressed accordingly. Regarding bar pricing, we understand your perspective. Kindly note that the hotel is situated in one of the most exclusive areas of Athens, where pricing levels across hospitality venues are generally elevated. Nevertheless, we continuously strive to ensure that the quality and overall experience reflect these standards. With respect to the transfer service, we sincerely regret the inconvenience you experienced. As a gesture of goodwill, this service will not be charged and the cost will be fully covered by us.

Stayed here with my girlfriend for a week. Being a Hilton honors and IHG member my first thought was to check out what was the best location in Athens to book. If you’re looking for a hotel near the Acropolis and you intend to stay for a night go for any other, but if you’re looking for more than one night stay the answer is book a hotel at the coast and when you’re in Greece there is no other option than Grecotel. Newly renovated with a 65’ inch tv set, a silent A/C unit and unbelievable sea views with sunsets day in and day out left us with unforgettable memories. Restaurants and bars are near by in 5’ minutes walking distance and the Vouliagmeni lake is right next with warm waters all year round. Breakfast is coming from a kitchen of a very high standard, swimming pool is heated (March 2026-20’ degrees) gym has treadmill and more and we do not forget the staff ready to help and provide with anything needed for a great stay. Life is not the amount of breaths you take…it’s the moments that take your breath away someone sometime said and that is how we will remember our stay in the Roc Club Vouliagmeni, breathtaking…

Our stay at The Roc Club, Grecotel was absolutely wonderful from beginning to end. The staff is exceptionally kind and attentive — they truly make you feel welcomed and cared for. They even kindly extended our check-out upon request, which made our experience even more relaxed and special. The hotel is spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, and impeccably styled, with refined details and artworks that add character and elegance to every space. The location is excellent, and the sea view is simply breathtaking, especially during sunset, when the light over the water is pure magic. The breakfast was delicious and diverse, offering great quality and variety, and the restaurant dishes were equally impressive. I was particularly impressed by the Greek salad — a beautiful reinterpretation that preserves the authentic, perfect taste while adding a modern and creative twist. I also celebrated my birthday here, and choosing The Roc Club for this special occasion was the best decision I could have made. It felt truly memorable and meaningful. I highly recommend The Roc Club, Grecotel, with the greatest confidence and would gladly return anytime.
