The hotel is set in a tranquil location with fantastic sea and mountain views. A beautiful setting. The large plot and numerous pools makes the hotel feel spacious and relaxing. The layout is easily navigable and the rooms are refurbished to a good degree with great views and amenities. The hotel opened end of April 2026 so is still getting up to operational speed from a food and provisioning perspective. The buffet lacks quality and variety, the specialty restaurants are working up to a greater capacity and more sunbeds are required. I’m sure all will be resolved over the next few months as every day the team were working hard to resolve the problems which are a direct result of supply chain issues. What makes up for the these operational issues are the team led by Marena the General Manager. Every member of the team makes you feel special. Marena had a positive attitude and was always solution orientated. The Guest Relations team deserve a special mention; Dimitris and Vasilis always ensured guests are well looked after and problems are resolved swiftly. Nothing was ever too much for them and they always kept you in the loop. The solution offered was always better than expected. Thank you Guest Relations. In respect of food and beverage, Panagiotis and Dimitris worked hard to ensure our every needs were met with regards to dining. The quality of food and the menu in the speciality restaurants was good as were the recommendations outside the hotel. Overall a great stay after a few blips.

Where to start. And please bear in mind that this hotel is advertised as 5☆ ULTRA A/I For context we usually do 5☆all inclusive in Belek area in Turkey and the canary islands, so that what I am basing this on . On arrival and check in we were offered a glass of water. (Remember its 5☆ultra A/I ) ROOM . Got taken to our room , we should have had a bottle of wine on arrival in our package (no wine) guest relations said would check and sure enough it was delivered next day. Mini bar that was supplied was fine, but the 2 x water we had in mini bar, one was opened and half full? We were told the hotel was refurbished and refreshed but it was difficult to see where ? The Air con in room was brilliant. POOL the pool area was fine with new sunbeds which were super comfy but there simply didn't have enough for the amount of guests, so much so we seen guests laying on the concrete pool area on towels (looked so bad) we seen guests complaining to staff about the bed shortage so they brought another 10 sunbeds the next day (good effort but still need more) PS get up early to bag a bed. (Remember this is 5☆ ultra A/I ) pool service was terrible, think we were asked twice within the 7 days we were there. And the bins were not emptied regularly so we're overflowing. Had mentioned to a manager but still not resolved. One person on poolbar when it opens at 10am even though the pool notice board states opens at 9am (poor) (remember it's 5☆ ultra A/I ) in the morning you see the que of guests waiting to grab a coffee or a drink with one person serving. A few guests I spoke had mentioned a lack of staff. STAFF all staff we Interacted with we're very helpful and professional but they are stretched. FOOD Oh dear! This is where it falls down badly. In the full week either breakfast lunch or dinner in the buffet the food was never hot. We had heard a few guests in the restaurant ask if there was any microwaves. We've been to other hotels that this didn't seem an issue. So don't understand why this kept happening. No champagne or bubbly at breakfast.no ice cream anywhere in the hotel. No spiced rum ( my drink)Another guest asked for a drink on top shelf and was told not part of all inclusive? ( remember it's 5☆ultra A/I ) BAR at night they have one bar open and to be truthful it looks lovely the way the seating area is all done Greek style. But not pratical for older guests. Only a few seats that have a backrest and they are taken first the other seating which has a backrest are like deckchair style, you fall into them and struggle to get out of them. Again never got waiter bar service (poor) So here is my biggest gripe and a WARNING TO EVERYONE. We booked a restaurant (Irene's) 3.4km away, google said 6 minutes away. We asked hotel to order a taxi for us and they said it was booked for 7.15 pm restaurant booked 7.30pm. Our taxi came on time and dropped us off at restaurant and we were told to ask the restaurant to phone the driver when to come get us , as she had other clients in the area on our return to the hotel we were told €64 euros for a 6 min journey either way. We were in shock, I only had 60 euros on me so that was what I paid. I spoke to guest relations manager next day to complain and was told that the area doesn't have it own taxis and they need to come from chania, that is why its expensive. My argument was that we were never informed that the cost was so expensive, if we had known that we wouldn't have went , in fact the whole restaurant bill with drinks was only €58 so that puts it into prospective. 6 minutes journey €32 each way. SUMMARY not 5 star ultra all inclusive lots of things that need done that could make it so much better. Would we return NO Would we recommend NO

We had a wonderful time at this adults-only ultra all-inclusive resort in Stavros, Crete. The location, service, and dining were all outstanding. Concierge Team The concierge was exceptional — proactive, knowledgeable, and always going the extra mile. They helped with restaurant bookings, excursions, and recommendations that made our trip seamless and stress-free. Truly outstanding service! The Island Buffet The main buffet restaurant impressed us every day with its great variety and quality. Fresh Greek and international options, beautiful presentation, and generous sea-view seating made every meal enjoyable. Yellow Sea Restaurant This à la carte Asian restaurant was a highlight.flavorful dishes, and elegant ambiance. Reservations are essential, but well worth it for a special evening. Highly recommended for a luxurious Crete getaway. We’d love to return!

We’ve had a really lovely stay at Domes Aulus Chania. The views are absolutely incredible, just amazing for those sunsets! Since it’s a new opening, there were a few small teething issues to iron out, but you can really see the potential here. The staff truly made the trip for us. A huge thank you to Dimitris in Guest Relations and trainee Dimitris for going above and beyond to look after us. Anastasia in housekeeping is an absolute gem, and the evening buffet team were wonderful every single night. It's a great spot and we’re excited to see it get even better as it settles in!
