Enorme Santanna Island

“Average” is generous. We booked this hotel because it was advertised as a “premium” AI experience, but unfortunately it didn’t meet expectations. For the price we paid, we expected a lot more. We booked this as a romantic getaway for myself and my partner, expecting a relaxing, high-quality experience. We arrived at 10PM and the check-in felt extremely rushed to the point we didn’t feel comfortable asking questions and ended up having to figure a lot out ourselves. In the evenings there really isn’t much to do unless you drink. There are three bars around the resort and, to be fair, the cocktails are excellent and freshly made. However, outside of that, entertainment was lacking. The hotel definitely has potential, but it needs more aimed at younger guests, even simple things like live DJs a couple of nights a week, pool tables, or evening activities. Most nights we ended up sitting on our balcony after 9PM because there wasn’t much else happening. On our second day, the wardrobe door fell off when we tried to open it. We called reception and were told someone would come “straight away”, but by the next day nobody had arrived and we had to go back to reception ourselves to chase it up. We received no apology and nobody checked whether we had been hurt, luckily we weren’t. The à la carte restaurant was okay; we tried the Italian but found vegetarian options quite limited. However, the main buffet restaurant was genuinely excellent. The staff there couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly, and the food was consistently fresh, hot, and honestly some of the best we’ve had at an all-inclusive hotel. Sunbeds were another major issue. Unless you were down by the pool at around 7AM, getting one was almost impossible, and even then most had already been “reserved”. We’ve stayed at other hotels that enforce rules against reserving sunbeds before a certain time, which completely avoids the usual sunbed wars. At this price point, we expected better management of this. We also noticed bin bags being left outside rooms for quite a while after cleaning staff had finished. That said, the pool areas, bars, and restaurants themselves were all kept very clean. Our main issue was reception; On the rare occasions we came to reception during our stay, the older lady there was consistently rude towards us. We were polite to all staff throughout our visit and caused no issues for staff or other guests, so this treatment was disappointing and unnecessary. The day before check-out, we went to reception in the morning to ask about late check-out. We were told a note would be made and to return after 6pm once availability was known. We returned at 6pm and were then told we would receive a call after 8pm. We never heard anything back and eventually had to go to reception ourselves again at 11pm, only to then be told it wasn’t available. We completely understand if late check-out wasn’t possible, but the communication throughout the process was poor and it felt like too much effort for staff to simply update us. When we checked out at 11am, the same receptionist took our wristbands immediately before we had the chance to ask to keep one as a travel keepsake. She gave us a lunch voucher, but when we politely asked whether we could still access drinks such as water or soft drinks during the day, we were abruptly told we would need to pay for everything. The interaction made us feel uncomfortable asking any further questions. As we only checked into the hotel at around 10pm on arrival, we already felt we had lost a large part of our first day. Because of this, the lack of flexibility or understanding at check-out, even though we were willing to pay left us feeling disappointed overall and unfortunately has put us off returning. That said, the staff in the restaurant and bar areas were absolutely wonderful throughout our stay and are a real asset to the hotel. Overall, the hotel has some really good points particularly the food, cleanliness of the main areas, and bar quality but it currently falls short of the “premium” experience it advertises itself as.

Fantastic hotel, best food we have had in an all inclusive, Drinks great all named brands as well as local. Only improvement would be for proper mixers in cans or bottles, not pump. Cleanliness was fantastic, room cleaned and towels changed every day. Italian and Veggera lovely for lunch, waited on which is nicer than helping yourself. Shout outs to the staff: Cara at the Poolside Bar, absolutely fabulous, works so hard and all with a smile on her face, so friendly. Thekli, supervisor was always milling about the hotel, working, so friendly and all with a smile of her face. Manos in Veggera was very gracious and professional. All in all a great stay and we will be back.

We recently stayed at Enorme Santanna Island and had a really positive experience overall. A special mention to Mary, the restaurant manager in the main dining hall. She was consistently warm, welcoming, and highly professional—always going above and beyond to make sure guests were looked after. The entire dining team worked incredibly hard and delivered excellent service throughout our stay. The food was very good, with plenty of choice and something to suit everyone. Nikos the front desk manager, and his team was also outstanding. He was professional, approachable, and really listened to our feedback. He went the extra mile to help us change our room, which made a big difference to our stay. The hotel is spacious, the rooms are well-appointed and comfortable, and the staff across the whole hotel were friendly and helpful—you can really see the team effort throughout from housekeeping a maintenance Bar staff they are alll very lovely . A visit to the sea view pool is definitely worth it. The setting is beautiful, although it gets very busy and most sunbeds are gone by around 9:05am, so it’s worth getting there early. The poolside restaurant, Veggera, is a great spot, and Bar man Manos and Manos and the whole team were absolutely lovely, providing excellent service throughout. The Greek was great fun 💚 Overall, this hotel offers great value for money and I would definitely recommend it. t

Absolutely incredible hotel, staff so friendly and helpful, whole hotel is spotlessly clean, 4 swimming pools to use. Some restaurants need to be booked and we highly recommend the Italian in the evening, its not often we would say we would return to a hotel but we would return here in a heartbeat, maria in main restaurant is fantastic, dreamy hotel you won't be disappointed ❤️

Before we even arrived, the airport staff told us we were in for a treat and they weren’t wrong. The hotel is beautiful, spotlessly clean and feels very luxurious. Every member of staff we met were friendly and very welcoming. Great food and drinks and snacks are more of a lunch (meals rather than finger food) so there’s plenty of choice. We stayed in a sea view superior room and it was perfect for us. The only suggestion I would have is for a map of the hotel to be available, as it’s not clear where the restaurants are, particularly snacks. We also couldn’t book in any of the al la carte restaurants because they were full, which was a shame and would have been helpful to book before arrival. Great location with a handful of shops within walking distance.
