Hersonissos Palace

Byli jsme velmi spokojeni v tomto 🏨 hotelu ... je zde vynikající kuchyně 👌 obsluha také, velmi milá a přátelská atmosféra 🥰 poblíž mnoho obchůdků, kaváren ☕ atd...kousek na písečnou pláž 🏖️🏝️ k moři 🌊 vřele doporučujeme... sem si určitě zajeďte... super dovolená! 👍

Vše bylo dobré, strava výborná a pestrá- neustále k dispozici ryby a mořské plody, spousta oliv a olivové oleje:) obsluha u stolů i na barevh rychlá a důsledná, místní alko nápoje vcelku chutné bez bolehlavů:) na pláž nutná obuv. Pokoje čisté.

I do not understand why this hotel gets such good reviews! Besides many issues with housekeeping, food and location, the worst is that there are so many stray cats struggling to survive right by the hotel property. The hotel does nothing to support their livelihood other than letting guests feed them from the outdoor restaurant. On our first night we noticed a severely injured cat that had apparently been getting worse in speaking with other tourists who did nothing. We asked the hotel receptionist who at least did advise us to contact the municipality without success. Through Facebook we eventually were able to get a local volunteer rescuer to capture the cat, take it to the vets and take care of it for several weeks until it was well enough to be released back onto the streets. At the same time, the rescuers noticed several other cats that had not been neutered, a young pregnant cat that already had 7 kittens and another young adult cat with a growth. All these cats were being fed by tourists next to the hotel and some were accessing the feeding station manned by volunteers, across from the hotel. All vet costs, transportion, food, medication and fostering costs are paid for by volunteers or donations from tourists. Shame on this hotel for not doing more to help these cats and especially supporting TNR. In addition to the animal welfare conditions, we had so many others issues too many to get into in great detail. But a quick summary: 1. Being charged an all inclusive fee for food and drink that were well below par, wine on tap, food that was barely edible to the point we were very concerned about food safety handling. 2. Housekeeping was a bare minimum, hallways had threadbare dirty carpets often lined with garbage bags full of laundry. Our room had paper thin walls that you could hear people snoring through. 3. The area around the hotel is mostly derelict with garbage, debris and run-down areas. Sun-beds are on a grassy area next to the "beach bar" with watered down drinks. If you're looking for a lovely place to stay choose the Creta Maris which helps support TNR, vet costs and food for cats on their property.

Enjoyed our experience here fro start to finish, polite staff and clean rooms, would recommend to anyone.
