Pilot Amphora Boutique

We have just returned from a 9 night stay at Pilot Amphora. It is a real gem, run by the wonderful Panos and his team. The hotel is modern and clean and maintained to a high standard. We were on a half board package. The food was excellent with an amazing fresh spread at breakfast and high quality 5 course meals in the evening. There was a lovely peaceful atmosphere around the pool area, which had plenty comfortable loungers and seating. Highly recommend.

This was my first time in Greece and this place met all my expectations. Very peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. Catered to all my needs. Modern and clean rooms, clean gym, pools and enough loungers. Great breakfast and fine dining dinner. We also had access to their sister hotel which is a big resort where we had access to their private beach, spa, entertainment and restaurants on site. The team here were lovely and did everything to cater to us. I notified them about my late transfer on my final day and the manager offered us a late check out free of charge! This is definitely a repeat destination and will be back when I next get the chance! Highly recommend.

We are an active couple in our early seventies. We stayed at this hotel for 11 nights. The location was great. On arrival we were not offered a welcome drink. We were asked to download the hotel app. I can do this but need more time than a younger person. It was explained that we needed to book our dinner time choice each evening using this app. When I got the app sorted it was all in German which I don’t understand so I found booking dinner difficult. Several days later a young member of the staff helped out and I got the app in English which helped a lot! On our first evening we went to the bar for a drink before dinner but were asked to go straight to our table and then given the menus. We would have preferred a drink first but went with the flow. We did not try and go for a drink before dinner again as it seemed not acceptable in this hotel. Our room had the noise and smell of the kitchen extractor fan outside it. Every morning about 5.30am I was woken up by the fan beginning its work for the day. That was accompanied by the smell of food cooking most of the day. Our room was definitely not soundproof. There was no inside lounge area in the hotel with comfy seating to sit inside and read a book or simply relax, and avoid the rain on the inclement days of which there were several. Breakfast was very good. Excellent coffee although they were unable to make cappuccino with lactose free milk for some reason I never understood. We had booked half board - I wish we hadn’t. Much nicer food in the many tavernas in Georgioupoli. We ate out several evenings. No hooks in the bathroom. The only shelf in the shower was too far away from the shower to be of any use. The lighting was very dim although the shower itself was very efficient. This is not a five star hotel. We were very disappointed. Georgioupoli is a lovely place which I would visit again but I won’t stay in this hotel.

We have just come back from a 2 week stay at this Fantastic Boutique Hotel. We arrived in the middle of the night and were taken to our room quickly and provided with snacks and water. Breakfast is amazing, freshly squeezed orange juice every morning, great eggs menu. Lovely fresh produce to choose from. Staff are amazing, attentive and friendly. Rooms cleaned everyday. Bed was so comfy, shower amazing. Great gym, fantastic pool. We had dinner one evening at the hotel and it was superb. Not sure I could have coped with 4 courses every night! We used the sister hotel sun loungers on the beach too (it’s a lovely 20 min walk along the beach, but they do provide a shuttle service if you don’t want to walk). Near to main square with lots of tavernas nearby. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Can’t wait to go back.

We spent a wonderful time at Pilot Amphora hotel, the food was delicious and every day different a la carte menu, a big choice for breakfast: selections of cereals, yoghurt, nuts, dried fruits, full English, cooked eggs in 5 ways, patisserie, coffee, teas…Friendly and professional staff made us feel like at home, the rooms are clean and spacious, with plenty of towels, dressing gowns, sleepers and toiletries. We will definitely be coming back next September. Thanks to all of the staff for hospitality and great atmosphere.
