I am very disappointed with my experience at Canopy by Hilton Seychelles. My email to Mr. Jimmy Bibi was ignored and even declined without anyone informing me. I had to call the hotel myself to get an answer—completely unprofessional. The lack of communication and poor service from the staff is unacceptable for a Hilton property. I am extremely frustrated, and until management improves their professionalism, I cannot recommend this hotel.

I had mixed expectations during my stay. While the food at the restaurant was genuinely good, the overall service experience was extremely disappointing. A significant number of staff members were rude and inattentive, especially during breakfast and dinner service. Orders and requests were often ignored, and there was a general lack of attentiveness that made dining uncomfortable rather than enjoyable. I also observed similar behavior from some of the reception staff, who appeared rude and dismissive toward certain guests. To be fair, not all staff members were bad—there were a few who were polite and professional—but unfortunately, the negative experiences outweighed the positive ones. The beach in front of the hotel is average at best. It looks fine but isn’t suitable for swimming, which was disappointing for a beachfront property. Overall, while the food stood out positively, the rude and inattentive service significantly impacted the stay. I expected much better hospitality from a Hilton property.

Very disappointing stay – not recommended Unfortunately, my stay at Canopy by Hilton Seychelles was far below expectations, and I would not recommend this hotel. The food experience was one of the worst I have had in any hotel. The breakfast buffet was very poor, with strange and limited menu options. Overall food quality was disappointing. The à la carte restaurant system is not well organized, with very limited choices, mandatory advance bookings, and no variety, which made dining frustrating rather than enjoyable. The staff experience was also very unusual. Most staff members appeared unwelcoming and unhelpful, and it felt like they were working by force rather than with passion or hospitality. I did not feel any warmth, care, or genuine service during my stay. There are almost no activities in the hotel, especially for families. The kids’ club is extremely weak, and the children were very bored. There are no proper kids’ activities at all. Even the spa facilities are incomplete — there is no jacuzzi — and the gym is very small, poorly equipped, and below standard. Housekeeping was very slow and inconsistent. Restaurant variety is very limited, and overall hotel services do not match Hilton standards or the expectations of a resort in Seychelles. This was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. The hotel feels tough, uncomfortable, and disappointing in almost every aspect. I would not return and do not recommend it to others.

How this is rated as a 4* hotel and not a 5* hotel is beyond my understanding. We stayed here for 6 nights in the double bedroom apartment. Spacious, super clean, modern. The apartments are a very short walk away, which was actually enjoyable. But also easy to take a buggy if you want. The hotel property itself is incredible and new. We tried all the restaurants and the pool bar, and truly enjoyed it. Especially want to mention Ricky, who worked at reception and drove us back and forth. So incredibly helpful with the kids. And also a shout out to Dino at the main restaurant who made us shisha every evening and the best virgin pina colada’s. The only negative, if there are any, is that the beach next door is the best in Mahe. However a short drive away you find places like anse soleil, anse takamaka, anse intendance. We also used the complimentary shuttle service and spent a day at sister-property Mango House which was quite enjoyable.

This was our first visit to Seychelles. Went stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. The hotel location was good and the layout was beautiful. We loved the pool & Sega Bar was our daily hangout! Great vibes daily. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The fitness center was well equipped and I managed to get a good workout. My wife and I had a really good couples massage at the spa. We had dinner at Tiger Bites and were happy to meet the head chef Erma. The food was authentic South East Asian cuisine and we were amazed at the quality and presentation, as the region is quite far from Seychelles! We also tried Moutya restaurant (Creole food) at the sister hotel Mango House. Good food and great staff again, totally stuffed! We did have some maintenance issues with our room a.c. but this was sorted out with the help of Irene, the duty manager of the day. She was really attentive to our problem and solved it quickly and also followed up on us later. There is one negative about this hotel, the breakfast starts only from 07:30 and ends at 11:00. The late start meant we could only enjoy a proper breakfast on 2 mornings of our stay as we had diving plans for 2 days and our departure was early on the final day. There was an option for a packed breakfast but this was a simple menu that you can’t keep having daily. The choice is very limited and quite disappointing. We do recommend this hotel as we did have a good stay overall despite the minor issues.
