Perfect location, wonderful services… friendly staff…

The hotel location is very nice, surrounded by green hills on one side and ocean bay on the other. The beach is nice for walking in sand and shallow water, but not good for swimming and snorkeling. However, a free shuttle is available that brings you to the sister hotel "Mango House", where you will find a very nice coral reef with many fish of all sizes, shapes, and colors. It was the best location for snorkeling we found on Mahe island. The property is nicely designed, with three pools, shaded beds around them (yes, there are comfortable mattress on them), beautiful palm alleys and wonderful lighting at night. The food is good both in the main restaurant and at the pool bar. You cannot have a better breakfast than at Canopy: a great choice of savory and sweet stuff, and also fruit in abundance. What touched us most was the friendliness and readiness to help by the stuff - at reception, in restaurants, shuttle drivers, room service - they were all great. We have nowhere been treated better! All in all, a highly recommended place to relax and recharge...

Just two years old, it is in pristine condition and comes with all mod cons, including an a la carte restaurant, well provisioned Spa, and three sparkling pools. Want a slice of beach action? Canopy delivers. In just a few short strides across the promenade, you can feel beautiful, soft, white sand beneath your feet, and behold the spectacle of clear blue waters of the Indian ocean. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well appointed. With large balconies, which, for some, have ocean views. The housekeeping team is always visible and seems to work around the clock to enable the possibility of early arrivals/late departures and maintain the highest standard of cleanliness throughout. The buffet breakfasts at Avocet restaurant are generous, fresh, with plenty of choice and frequently replenished. Evening meals, whether at Avocet, or at nearby Tiger Bite Asian restaurant, are a delight. Fish and seafood lovers, in particular, will not be left hungry or disappointed. In short, wow! What sets this hotel apart is its people, who are unfailingly, helpful, charming, chatty, and had a genuine interest in making our stay memorable. Time and again, they bent over backwards to look after us - nothing was too much trouble and we felt extremely welcome. Shouts outs to Ashveena, Irene, and Stephanie on reception. Brian, Greg, Dino, and Dorlly in the restaurant, along with kitchen team. Many more, including the ever present, guest relations manager, Jemmy, ensured we had a truly amazing week.
