The hotel was very impressive on arrival. The staff were very friendly and helpful with our luggage. Check in was very easy and, although we had arrived earlier than check-in time, we were welcomed with a drink and an ice lolly and shown to a comfortable waiting area. We didn’t have to wait long for our room to be ready and we were shown there by Jemmy. The room itself was very clean and had everything you could want. Our view of the pool and the ocean was stunning. The breakfast buffet was the best I’ve ever experienced and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect for just relaxing by the pool or on the beach. If you want a larger beach, there is a free shuttle to Mango Hotel - where you are able to use the pool also. It is also in a good location for pick up for the many tours available. The Canopy by Hilton is excellent value for money and we would not hesitate to book again. This was an anniversary trip for my husband and I and it was absolutely wonderful for both of us.

The property itself is very good, but the management and service at Canopy Seychelles are a complete disaster. First, the dining areas have no AC and absolutely no fans. If there’s no wind outside, you will sweat through breakfast and dinner. Second, they lock the direct beach access at 6:00 PM. If you want to go to the beach at night, you have to walk half a kilometer out the main gate. If you love seafood, dinner menu has a lot of variety and great food. While breakfast had everything, the ridiculous part was they would take order for omelette and bring the wrong one..... why would u not have a live counter for omelettes and instead have it for crepes. Most importantly, customer service is non-existent. We waited an hour for simple ice and glasses, called four times, and ultimately had to go get them ourselves. When we told the manager Bram, he just said "that's sweet of you" instead of apologizing or fixing the issue. They say "sorry" a lot, but nothing actually gets done. Great property, but extremely sad service.

While Canopy by Hilton Seychelles is visually beautiful and well-maintained, the management and customer service are incredibly frustrating and fall far below Hilton standards. Uncomfortable Dining: The dining areas have no AC or ceiling fans. Unless there is a natural breeze, you will sweat through your meals. Restricted Beach Access: Direct beach gates lock at 6:00 PM. If you want a night walk by the ocean, you are forced into a 500-meter detour out the main gate. Unapologetic Management: Customer service is practically non-existent, highlighted by the restaurant manager, Bram. He completely messed up our dining order and was entirely unapologetic about his errors, ultimately abandoning us mid-service at 9:30 PM simply because his shift was over. He was also the culprit behind our room service disaster: after we waited an hour and called four times for ice and glasses, we finally fetched them ourselves. When he realized the failure, his only response was a dismissive, "Oh, that's very sweet of you." The Transportation Trap: Taxis are virtually unavailable in the immediate area, meaning you are completely dependent on the hotel to call cabs for you—which are exorbitantly expensive. We highly recommend renting a car at the airport when you land. Taxis and everything else here are incredibly pricey, and having your own vehicle is the only way to avoid feeling stranded or overcharged. There are plenty of empty apologies at this resort, but zero action or accountability. A beautiful building means nothing without basic hospitality. We will not be returning.
