Canopy by Hilton Seychelles

Canopy By Hilton Seychelles Resort is a new hotel in the south west of Seychelles. It has been open for less than two years, so everything is still new. We booked a junior suite which was on offer with half board. So we have breakfast and evening meals at the hotel. We got a warm friendly welcome as we arrived at the hotel after a long journey from England. As this was low season and we were Hilton Gold members we got upgraded from the junior suite to a one bedroom apartment with a plunge pool. Before we were shown to the room, we were shown around the resort. Including the restaurants included in our meal plan. We loved the size of the apartment which had a seperate living room with a kitchenette. Even a washing machine. We had a full sized fridge freezer. Each day we were given several water bottles which could be refilled at the main hotel. The bedroom was good sized, with plenty of UK style plugs. USB sockets. Both the living room and the bedroom had a television. The bathroom was big as well with his and hers sinks. A shower and a separate bathtub. Amenities included toothbrush/toothpaste as well as a razor, bath salts. The best bit was the plunge pool which we used everyday. The apartment complex is away from the hotel and they provide buggies to take you there and back. Although were happy to walk. The main hotels has several pools, we used the main one all the time. It was rather subdued, maybe it could do with some music in the afternoons like they did at their sister hotel the Mango House resort. We did not try the two smaller pools. The beach is across the promenade. Again it is quieter, it was worth going for a dip but do not bother about going snorkelling. Breakfast was wonderful. A wide array of food. Each day I had a variety of croissants and pastries. Cooked to order omelettes, hash browns, cakes, cereals, fresh fruit to many other items. There were freshly squeezed orange juices, which is a rarity these days even in five star hotels. I liked there was a corner where you could try creole food as well. For dinner we mainly ate at the main restaurant, although we did try the far eastern Tiger Bites as well. Just note you need to pre book the restaurant even though it was low season and they were never full. The food was good at the main restaurant, although the menu could be rather repetitive if you are staying for more than several days. The staff were always friendly and attentive. This is a fair sized resort, rather quiet. Many residents kept to themselves I noticed. The area is rather isolated, this is a small village. If you do not got half board, you can walk to several small restaurants in the vicinity and there are bars nearby as well. Overall we would recommend this hotel.

Excellent, slightly larger hotel. Clean beach with calm water which came with warning of sea urchins and sting rays although everything seemed fine. They tried to upgrade us to a bland apartment which was significantly further away from the hotel, but after some negotiations we got our well designed poolside view kingsize room, and were allowed to check in very early. An excellent perk is the free courtesy bus to sister luxury hotel Mango House, a smaller, quieter resort. Perfect breakfast. Staff and room great.

Very good and friendly staff especially Marie at breakfast .. all staff are amazing we felt special and happy .. very very good experience.

We had the absolute pleasure of celebrating my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary at the Avocet restaurant, Canopy Seychelles. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with care, and genuine hospitality that made the experience truly unforgettable. The food and cocktails were great! Compliments to the chef and kitchen team! A heartfelt thank you to Vivian and Marie for their outstanding service. Their attentiveness and professionalism made us feel incredibly special. The entire team was wonderful, ensuring everything ran smoothly and we felt completely at ease. We would also like to extend our deepest gratitude to Julia, who handled all the arrangements.
