We booked this hotel resort because of all the things we could do as advertised online & stated everything would be open from the 23rd March, but this wasn't the case... I was in touch with the hotel resort since before arriving, stating that I'm no good with stairs, due to my mobility status & that I was hiring a mobility scooter to get around. I asked if they had lifts that I could use, their reply was yes, but in the main building. I said, ok that's fine, no problem. I also asked if our 2nd room could be close together. I don't think they understood very well, as we were placed in a block with no lifts & on top floor. I've been so knackered walking up & down 5 flights of stairs everyday, I was in more pain during our stay than I've been back home. The main reception and all of downstairs look nice, but all the staff seem miserable & don't like smiling & rude. The pools look lovely, but this time of year, it's freezing, Aquapark looked fun, but never opened, contradiction of different dates advertised online. Don't book a holiday here in March, it's pointless. The pool just sat there looking pretty, no lifeguards, so wasn't allowed in the pool. The baby pool had litter, tissues & other things in it, so didnt go in that either. There was a lovely caring bar lady called Marina, she helped me with our drinks to our table. She was brilliant & so kind, definitely a keeper to the resort than anyone else. Keep up the great work, you are an absolute gem 💎. The buildings are rather tired looking from the outside & dated, the rooms are to be expected & luckily we had slippers/socks as the floors are so dirty & doesn't get mopped. Some tiles are cracked/broken, balcony is rusty, the chairs were dirty, no ashtrays supplied as stated (luckily I had my travel ashtray). Showers aren't cleaned properly, No oven, which was strange, seeing as we were self catering, & wanting to do some meals in the room. They only had a top hob for pans!! Wasn't expecting to go out every night. That plan went out the window & became more expensive. Rooms were ok. Bit dirty, loads of dust everywhere (I ended up checking everything, bit like the program 4 in a bed). The sofa is so uncomfortable & dips in the middle. Was expecting a broom or dustpan & brush as we were self-catering, but none of these were in the rooms either. Why?? The only upside for the rooms, were the beds, they were comfortable to sleep in, but that's it. Many many cats everywhere & looking in bad health. The cafeteria staff were rude. I only asked for a bottle of water & was told you have no band. Er, no, we were self catering & expecting to pay, but there was no need for the rudeness. Decided to not bother at all with the food & drinks in the Resort & we went out for every meal instead. Better food too tbh. The Grill/Snack building by the pool, apparently isn't for the holiday makers when we were there, only for the football teams & athletes. Guy came out & said so, yet again another rude member of staff. This was just another let down for our holiday. We only wanted some chips!! They seemed to cater nicely for all the athletes & football teams, but nothing to the actual holiday guests. I hired a mobility scooter to use whilst here, it's been a god send when I've been able to use it & my family have noticed I feel better using it. Only problem, I had to leave it by reception every night, then walk to my block, then 5 flights of stairs (this has been the main downfall of it all, especially when I explained in email I have mobility issues). I was in so much pain during our stay. I couldn't always charge it up either. People were putting bikes right in front of the scooter, blocking off the charging ports, stacking chairs in front of the mobility scooter. I also noticed that someone or many, not actually sure, has tried to move the scooter (can't be done without the actual key), but the dials had moved, a few marks on the scooter too. I positioned the scooter in a way, just to check if anyone was attempting to move it. These aren't cheap to hire either. In the bar area, there's a menu for drinks... These are definitely not true to the style and very disappointing, especially the milkshakes... If you are self catering, you are better off leaving the resort. You have so much to enjoy around you in Albir. So many cafés, restaurants, bars, even markets on Sundays. The beach is mainly pebbles & isn't too far away & absolutely gorgeous with shops & other buildings along it. Would we come back? Yes, but probably as just room board & if I have a lift to use, otherwise no, I won't be back. It's not for me. I came for a relaxing time away & it ended up being torture, very tiring, hard work & exhausting. I'm glad I'm back home

What an amazing place to come for my children's first holiday abroad, all the staff are really helpful and friendly and are quick to answer any questions you may have. The entertainment for the kids with Manel & Alex was next level, my kids loved Manel and he made them feel really included with all the activities from calling the numbers out in bingo or doing a tiktok trend to ping pong and even football ⚽️ nothing was to much. Good value for money food is spot on. The rooms are made up daily.
Visited with my husband, 87 year old mother, our daughter and 21 month old grandson. Check in was easy, all my requests prior to arriving were met and our rooms were fresh and clean. Yes this is a sports hotel but don’t be put off by this as many of the teams were out all day so the resort is quiet. Thank you to Maria in the restaurant who looked after us and the chefs who always made sure there was something for our grandson to eat. Special thanks to Marina in the bar. She is a joy and she has such a bubbly personality. She deserves 5stars on her own.
