Hotel Benidorm East by Pierre & Vacances

Avoid this hotel! Staff are ok, we stayed on the first floor but the lifts are so busy during peak hours we had to use stairs and being injured on the holiday if wasn't ideal. The room itself was sub par, we arrived and I had mould on my pillow,stains all over my sheets it was disgusting!! The floor in the room was lifting up causing us to trip over on it and it was sharp, room itself ig walls,skirting boards were dirty and scuffed and the bathroom cabinets peeling up,breaking and bubbling. Very outdated rooms for such a nice reception/ bar area. The hotel is also up an extremely steep hill and there's little to no information about where you get the free bus from to get back to the hotel so we had to pay for taxis multiple times a day. We experienced little to no noise distractions except for a couple times during the day which was no issue. Pool was decent except we couldn't use the outside pool due to maintenance which is understandable as it was out of usual holiday season

After reading reviews we were a little wary of what to expect of this hotel. However, couldn't fault it. We did Benidorm for 5 days and this hotel wasnt our original booking but we were so glad Love Holidays changed it to this one. The hotel is clean, tidy, well presented and when we were there, quiet. The breakfast room is massive and has a great range of foods including full cooked breakfast with 3 types of sausages, bacon, eggs done 3 ways, mushrooms, hash browns, Spanish omelette, bacon. Full continental breakfast including pate. Fresh fruit and yoghurt, cereal, breads etc. Also, free chilled cava. The indoor pool was large and looked clean although we didnt go in. The bar is a large area with comfy sofa seating and tables and chairs. Theres a kids area with games and air hockey. They have entertainment every night and a disco. Small shop on site which is reasonable for gifts and souvenirs. Room itself was comfortable. Not huge rooms but clean and comfy beds (we had 2 singles put together). Bedding was clean and crisp and smelled of laundry. Towels were huge and clean. Shower was a power shower and was good and hot. Our view from the balcony was sadly a roof top but it was too cold to sit out anyway. The hotel isnt near the strip and is up hill but there is a free bus every 20 minutes to the front and back until 8.30pm. Staff were friendly and polite.

We stayed 4 nights over Valentines weekend. Having read the latest reviews we panicked a bit over what we had booked. There was no need. Arrived about 10pm and the staff were friendly, helpful and check in was very quick - even had chocolate hearts with our room key. Room was spotless, although I do agree that a kettle would be nice. Clean bathroom, fresh bedding, mini fridge and balcony. Fresh towels every day. Breakfast was included and there was something for everyone from fruit and cereal to continental or a full cooked breakfast. Plenty of drinks choices. The hotel is a walk from the main beach/shops etc but there’s a shuttle bus if you want it, we enjoyed the walks up and down - prefer to be a bit out of the main centre anyway. Entertainment every evening, we only sat in there one night. Bar staff very friendly and helpful. Yes it was mainly in Spanish but guess what - we were in Spain! Most of the guests are Spanish so why wouldn’t it be? Overall we had an amazing time, and will definitely be booking again.
