Mercure Benidorm

Whilst the hotel is lovely, it’s our third time here and it has gone down hill a little. Entertainment isn’t as good as it was last year and neither is the food choice in the restaurant. Staff are lovely, especially Sonia, but Petra could do with smiling a little more and not arguing with customers when they get the food order wrong. Not a great hotel choice if you are vegetarian, vegan or follow a plant based diet. Therefore, we ate out most days, despite being half board.

Fabulous Hotel , having travelled with my adult daughter I still wanted a hotel that was not too far away from everything but also quite chilled and of a high standard . The Mercure was one of the best 4 star hotels I have ever stayed in and in well travelled . Staff were excellent , clean , lovely decor , smelt amazing , breakfast superb and the pool area very chilled , totally recommend

A lovely stay at this wonderful and peaceful hotel. Apart from the roadworks outside but this is not the fault of the hotel. All the staff were super friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and very clean although they could do with more storage for 2 people and all their clothes/stuff. Half the room is just floor space so a shelving unit would have been great. Breakfast buffet is amazing. The pool was lovely and the pool staff were brilliant. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would come back.

Lots of issues but main one is unable to enjoy the pool area due to only a few beds ever in the sun due to being surrounded by high rises and trees and the same people reserving beds every day with towels The horrendous work noise from 8am ( actually woke us daily ) from the main road - no notice of this ongoing noise The fact that the restaurant area cannot cope with the amount of guests so often food ran out and we ate actually in the bar area or the reception area as no tables free The buffet food was minimal and repetitive and underwhelming The actual area is very run down and unattractive and is approx 15 mins walk to old town and 30 mins to the Strip The room was lovely with a comfortable bed - we asked for softer pillows as advertised and were told “ we will see “ and nothing happened We expected refreshed water bottles daily but that didn’t happen The cleaner came every day but just tidied our bed and refresh ed towels - marks in the shower were there throughout Very very disappointed as expected much more

Lovely hotel with large, calm gardens which is fabulous in busy Benidorm. Loads of comfy sunbeds. Good pool bar with nice snack menu and lovely drinks! Great rooms, very comfy. Odd bathroom layout with loo in tiny room. We had facials and massages, good prices and excellent service. Friendly service at the bar. Great stay, highly recommended
