Mercure Benidorm

Lovely hotel with gorgeous oasis style pool area and garden. We had a deluxe room on the 8th floor which had a longer balcony and wonderful views to peacock island. The bed was extremely comfortable and very spacious well appointed room. Sink, shower and toilet area were likely remnants of the previous hotel and all well worn in need of replacement or at least a good scrub. The hotel has a lovely smell (spa like) and was generally quiet at the time we stayed. Situated at a quieter end of Benidorm. Around 30/40 minutes walk to ‘The Strip’ we got an Uber for €15 for six of us. The old town is ok, if you haven’t been before there are some lovely parts but this is Benidorm after all and so 95% modern and built up. This is not the place to come if you want any culture other than ‘brits abroad’ which we were expecting and got. Had some delicious tapas in the old town. Breakfast was ok. That’s all I could really say about it. Definitely had a lot better it’s basic but I think something for everyone. Staff very lovey and friendly lots of smiles.

Arrived late to get greeted by a really smiling friendly guy. Explained everything. Room was spotless and very well equipped, it was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was brilliant, just about everything you wanted and very fresh and refilled constantly. Restaurant staff were friendly. Good location, slightly on a hill but a short walk to the beach. Far enough away from the new town not to get caught up. Reception was very comfortable and tables not on top of each other. Nice bar too. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Lovely hotel but rooms are rather small. Good sound proofing so did not find it noisy. Had evening meal and found it just ok. Food was not warm. Good breakfast. Walkable to shops and restaurants and there is a free public car park 8 minutes walk away. The receptionist will give you the qr code when you drop off your luggage. Found the staff friendly.

Lovely hotel, clean modern, friendly staff. Lovely comfortable bed. Beautiful pool, great selection of food and breakfast and dinner. A lovely retreat in Benidorm, would highly recommend. We stayed for a long weekend, we upgraded to a Deluxe room which was very comfortable. Loved the weighted quilt was on offer, slept like a log!

What a well situated hotel, quiet but amongst everything, the staff are genuinely lovely and helpful, it’s spotlessly clean with a great variety of food. Rooms are spacious and comfortable also well serviced and spotless with kettle and fridge and large screen tv. I keep on returning as the staff are so warm and friendly and I now feel quite relaxed and at home there.
