Mercure Benidorm

The best hotel I've stayed in so far! All staff members (reception, breakfast, cleaning) are super friendly and cheerful. I stayed in a Deluxe room, which was just perfect: lot of space, big sunny terrace, comfy bed. The breakfast was amazing, with a huge choice: I really don't know what else you could wish for. The beach is very close (5min walking). I'll definitely be back, thank you for this amazing stay.

Fabulous hotel. Lovely staff. Spotlessly clean. Amazing breakfast. Didn’t get coffee cups in the room even though there is a kettle and tea and coffee provided but easily sorted when requested. Will definitely come back xx

Honest Review - We stayed here in March as an M/F couple in our 50s. Nice Hotel and friendly staff. Check in was easy, name, address etc. However, we had to give our Bank Card Details on reception so things could be charged to our room (we prefer to pay cash). We had a spacious Privilege Double Room with a comfy Kingsize Bed overlooking the Pool area. The only thing we found strange with our room was that the Bathroom was not seperared from the Bedroom like other Hotels. Free wifi throughout the Hotel and free safe in the room. The pool was not heated which was unusual for a 4 star 'Upscale' Hotel. We stayed B&B and found that Breakfast was mostly continental. Unfortunately the Hotel was located on an incline in what we would class as a 'run down' residential area which spoilt it for us. When we looked at booking the Hotel neither 'easyjet' or 'tui' described the Hotel as 'pet friendly' so some of the Guests having dogs with them triggered our Allergies. If we had known this before booking with 'easyjet' we would not have stayed here. It was about a 15 minute walk to Poniente Beach and about a 30 minute walk to the Old Town with the 'The British Strip' about an hours' walk away. Sadly we would not stay here again because of the area / location and Dogs in the Hotel which is bad for Guests with Allergies.

We had a great week in the hotel, staff were lovely, food good but could be warmer, and were considering coming here again until our last night leaving the restaurant there was a dog under the table and then 2 more came out of the lift. The hotel is a great location bit we wont be back because of the dogs

Lovely hotel with gorgeous oasis style pool area and garden. We had a deluxe room on the 8th floor which had a longer balcony and wonderful views to peacock island. The bed was extremely comfortable and very spacious well appointed room. Sink, shower and toilet area were likely remnants of the previous hotel and all well worn in need of replacement or at least a good scrub. The hotel has a lovely smell (spa like) and was generally quiet at the time we stayed. Situated at a quieter end of Benidorm. Around 30/40 minutes walk to ‘The Strip’ we got an Uber for €15 for six of us. The old town is ok, if you haven’t been before there are some lovely parts but this is Benidorm after all and so 95% modern and built up. This is not the place to come if you want any culture other than ‘brits abroad’ which we were expecting and got. Had some delicious tapas in the old town. Breakfast was ok. That’s all I could really say about it. Definitely had a lot better it’s basic but I think something for everyone. Staff very lovey and friendly lots of smiles.
