Disappointing Stay at TRS Hotel, San Antonio, Ibiza – Not the Luxe Experience Expected - All Inclusive Plus, October 2025 If you’re after a peaceful and relaxing holiday, avoid this hotel! Conversely, if you prefer a loud party atmosphere, this hotel will suit you perfectly. My husband and I booked a 7-night All Inclusive Plus stay at TRS Hotel, lured by its ‘Luxe Range’ branding and 5-star rating. We expected high standards and restful surroundings, particularly as a family member previously praised its tranquillity and restorative atmosphere. Unfortunately, the reality couldn’t have been further from our expectations, prompting us to cut our holiday short and leave four days early at extra cost. Room: The main positive and redeeming feature was the room: spacious, clean, and with a comfortable bed. Buffet Restaurant • Consistently long queues to be seated for breakfast, sometimes up to 20 minutes, with staff struggling to turn tables efficiently. • Salt and pepper often missing or empty; coffee from machines tasted unpleasant. Table service for drinks was slow and unreliable. • Wine servings were minimal; getting a refill was a struggle and required constantly chasing staff. • Food was varied but nothing special. Salad dressings lacked labelling, making it a guessing game. Pools & Poolside Service • There was no escape from relentless clubbing music from morning to night, often overlapping with live acts. Not relaxing! • Pools were cold and uninviting; the beach access was disappointing due to murky water and rocky seabed. • Poolside drinks service was scarce - only served once in four days. Queues at the pool bar were consistently long. • Snack Bar service was unfriendly and inattentive, with staff avoiding guests. Getting attention was a challenge. Gravity Rooftop Bar • Five star view with 2 star service! • Understaffed and very slow. One bartender for dozens of guests, resulting in lengthy waits for drinks. • Staff appeared more interested in selfies with younger guests and chatting than serving. • Ginger Ale was unavailable unless you paid extra for it as it was considered a mixer for signature guests! • Tables frequently left wet and dirty; repeated requests needed to get them cleaned. Lobby Bar • Live DJ playing excessively loud club music from early evening, making conversation impossible. • Bar were understaffed and focused on flashy tricks rather than efficiency. Queues were deep and frustrating. • No table service; overall atmosphere reminiscent of a busy pub, not a luxury resort. Restaurants • Helios Mediterranean: Staff were friendly. Food was average, nothing memorable. • El Gaucho Steakhouse: All-inclusive menu offered only basic cuts. Premium steaks were outrageously expensive, even with a discount. Steaks were poorly cooked, and service for drinks was lacking. Room Minibar: Minibar restocked only every three days for non-Signature guests and that was only a couple of bottles of water, soft drinks and beers. For an all-inclusive, this policy felt petty and inadequate. Departure & Overall Impression: After three days, we left early, incurring additional costs. Staff didn’t ask why we were leaving or show any concern about our dissatisfaction. Having stayed at several all-inclusive resorts, this was by far our worst experience. The hotel failed to meet even basic expectations for a 5-star luxury break. We would rate the hotel as a low 3-star at best, purely for the quality of the room and bed. Recommendation: For anyone seeking a restful, high-quality stay, look elsewhere! Sadly, TRS Hotel was a huge disappointment for us and left us feeling anything but rested!

We’ve spent two holidays at TRS and will definitely be back. It’s a perfect location for us as we enjoy long walks and the facilities at the hotel are great. The real winner is the food. The most incredible breakfasts lunches and evening meals. We like to go out to traditional restaurants too but because of the quality and variety at the hotel we enjoyed many of our meals here. The staff were brilliant - particularly Jero at the bar downstairs. What a wonderful and talented clever young man. Thanks TRS see you soon x

End of season sunshine. The hotel at this time of the year is I assume much quieter which suited us as this was our second visit. We were upgraded to Signature Level at check-in and welcomed by the same receptionist as last year with warmth. The food is more than satisfactory in the main restaurant, there really should be no problem finding something you like, the quality is also very good. The Gaucho steakhouse was excellent and we really enjoyed lunch at the food truck. Staff were friendly and attentive. All said a job well done TRS Ibiza. Oh, and hands down the best place to see the sunset - The Gravity rooftop bar!

I stayed for 4 nights in early October as part of a corporate event. The hotel is newly opened and the location was pretty decent, being a 20 min or so walk to the heart of San Antonio. ROOM: as part of a large group there was some luck involved in allocation of rooms. I was less fortunate and was given an accessible room at the back of the hotel (no ocean view). The room itself was nicely appointed and being accessible meant the bathroom was particularly spacious. The main issue I had was the shower. There was no overhead shower and not even an elevated hook for the handheld shower. You had to physically hold the shower in one hand the entire time. It’s an issue isolated to the accessible rooms but a surprising design oversight given these rooms are being used for all types of guests. That said, my colleagues in regular ocean facing rooms were much happier. POOL: there are a total of 4 pools at the resort. You are given a wristband on arrival which acts as your room key and also indicates whether you are a regular or “Signature” guest. The advantageous seating around the pools for Signature guests was very blatant (and strictly enforced) - including one pool which was for their exclusive use - plenty of opportunity to flex your status if you were so inclined! For us regular folk, there were still plenty of sun loungers around but it did get quite busy, and if you wanted to sit in the shade there were notably fewer (often zero) spare loungers if you didn’t get there earlier in the day. Don’t forget about the rooftop pool (and bar) which offered awesome views especially at sunset time, but seating around this pool was quite limited and I don’t recall seeing any umbrellas. The adjacent bar area did have quite a bit of seating however including shaded options. BEACH: located down a flight of steps and isolated from the rest of the resort although just a few minutes walk away. A small alcove with calm waters (no waves). There are a couple of bars/restaurants down there which are not affiliated with the hotel. Similarly, a large bank of sun loungers was available but not part of the hotel and priced at €25 per pair. DRINKS: most cocktails were pre-mixed and fairly average. Some branded spirits were on offer under the all inclusive but it was fairly basic stuff. I did enjoy the red wine available in the main restaurant. FOOD: all my meals were at the main buffet which was better than expected. There were multiple cooking stations serving freshly prepared items. We had a different theme for each of the 4 nights. Not everything was great, but the selection was sufficiently extensive that you could always find a decent amount of enjoyable items. There was also a steakhouse and maybe another restaurant which were included but I didn’t get a chance to try these out. OVERALL: a pretty solid stay. They scored well in most aspects and the resort does have a bit of a premium feel to it. I didn’t have to pay for it, but I checked their rates and for €300-400 per night (all inclusive) during October I think it’s well worth the cost. During summer months when it’s more than 2x the price could be more debatable but if you consider the fact that it’s Ibiza then you certainly could do worse from a value for money perspective. 4.5 stars overall.
