Grupotel Playa Camp de Mar

We returned a few days ago from our fifth visit..there is so much that is still so wonderful about the hotel; its location, the wonderful staff, the cleanliness, the lovely places to eat locally, the beach etc..but just a couple of observations that have also been made elsewhere..the morning rush for sunbeds has got worse and is dispiriting, we felt the food in the evening wasn’t quite as good and some of the entertainment wasn’t brilliant ( with the exception of the amazing Tina Turner tribute..!) ..and it often felt chaotic at lunchtime in the cafe attached to the hotel.. which is open to the public. Other than that we had a lovely week. Thank you!

Lovely hotel, friendly staff and good choice of food. A bit of a shame they didn’t marshal some of the scruffy residents at dinner. Flip flops, open toed sandals, scruffy shorts & tee shirts. ( luckily ,they were in the minority). And I am sure a few on B&B crept in for a free dinner.

We went to this hotel in 2018 and had a wonderful experience, so after reading the recent reviews we decided to go back. What a big mistake, poor quality of food , second rate entertainment and if you like to get up at 06.45 to secure a sunbed your welcome. I wish as previous reviewer had mentioned we had requested a move to another hotel. The only plus were the staff ,Matumba gets a special mention. Looking forward to our next holiday to recover from this.

Want to go back. Nice hotel overlooking a beautiful cove. Friendly staff. Good variety of food at breakfast and evening . Lunch snack bar and drinks at reasonable price overlooking sea. We had rooms overlooking the sea with lots of wardrobe space, drawers and cupboards. Modern bathroom has walk-in shower with plenty of hot water, toiletries, hairdryer and fresh towels. Lots of sunbeds and parasols overlooking the pool or sea with cushions you help yourself to. Evening entertainment ok. We went on trip with Tui to go through the orange trees on an old train. Didn’t see many oranges though. We also went out on trips on our own using buses and taxi’s you can pick up outside of hotel. Met so many people who go back time and time again. Glad we went there and will be going back

If you want to recharge and totally relax this is the place /area to go nothing has changed much in 10 years . The hotel is lovely the room was just right we were out the back over the tennis courts the shower was brilliant and powerful the staff are all very nice the pool guy was so hard working so don't panic if you think there are no sun beds because he will get one for you the restaurant was lovely the food was great Otunba was very nice and helpful. We will go back
