Grupotel Playa Camp de Mar

This hotel is like a pearl in an oyster , it sits at the centre and front of the most idyllic bay . Fringed with a small sandy beach running into lovely blue water . From our own experience the hotel has been managed incredibly well by Jose and his team for many years . The Restaurant can be busy early evening but it is easy to manage a quiet time around that . Even in the busiest times it is still easy to find a free table and the staff are always willing to help . The menu is always varied and caters for all dietary needs . My wife is Coeliac and has always praised the hotels efforts to maintain a safe diet for her whilst offering choice. The work that has been carried out in the hotel and in particular the rooms is fantastic . Everything you would need presented in a very stylish way . Finally the staff , they are first class , so friendly and pleasant. Cleaning , Restaurant , Pool and Bar everyone of them are worthy of a special mention but we would single out in particular Sandro as being a credit to the business. We never saw him without a smile , he was always professional, courteous and fun with us and from what we saw he was same with all the guests . It’s not often you can go home and actually say you missed a staff member but Sandro was that Caliber of person . We wish him well for the future and Jose , you would do well to keep him . Beautiful location my second stay here and my parents third or fourth I think. Rooms are excellent plenty of storage we had rooms 534 & 533 overlooking the pool. So much choice with the food both at breakfast and dinner, I’m so glad this hotel only caters for half board as many hotels I’ve been to where they offer all inclusive meals I feel it lets the food down as they seem to just reuse everything but not here. Lovely meals at the bar as well at lunchtime overlooking the beach. The staff at this hotel are absolutely brilliant, friendly and so helpful especially the lifeguards around the pool 👏 Great entertainment. Already planning our next stay.

Our first visit to this lovely hotel. The hotel is in a lovely position overlooking the small but beautiful beach of Camp de Mar. Our room was not huge but perfectly adequate with plenty of storage, decent size bathroom with a lovely big walk-in shower. The balcony was supplied with the most comfortable balcony chairs ever - perfect as we did enjoy reading and sitting out looking at the lovely views. Added to this the rooms were clean, nice and bright with all tea making facilities etc. Bring your own mugs ( small in room and also tea bags, theirs are so weak) The staff throughout this hotel are so friendly and helpful, special mention to Denise? and her colleague in the front part of dining room, so cheerful and helpful. Also must mention the lifeguard with springs in his legs! So helpful sorting out any poolside problems. The hotel just generally felt relaxed in all areas. The only downside as in many hotels is the madness of people grabbing loungers from 6.30 every morning! However the helpful pool attendant could usually help people find a bed, just causes stressful situation. The food was good with plenty of choice, enjoyed the themed nights too. We enjoyed some of the entertainment, not easy to please a wide age range of guests. We found some of it rather noisy and not to or taste but accept we are older so wouldn’t appreciate it all. We thoroughly enjoyed our 11 night stay in this lovely hotel and would definitely return. Thank you Grupotel Camp De Mar. Hotel clean & welcoming. Lovely helpful staff. Comfy beds. Large walk in shower. Nice toiletries in bathroom is a welcome addition. Great views as hotel overlooking the beach. Plenty of Gluten free options available in the dining room.

The hotel was generally of a good standard and in a peaceful position on the island. Our room was ok, though a little noisy at times due to guests in the neighbouring rooms (not something the hotel can control really). All staff were polite and helpful, with particular compliments going to Lenu who serviced our room and Fran (Fransico) who interacted very well with us, (helping me learn some basic Spanish language), and other guests. One negative was the lack of dress code for evening dinner in the restaurant. Whilst many guests made an effort, it was let down by many that attended dinner in, I would suggest, inappropriate dress standards, including clothing that they had been wearing around the pool area that day. I am certainly not a snob by any measure, though I would have expected better for a 4 star hotel. Putting that negative aside, we had a lovely holiday.
