I'm writing this review for the Iberostar Es Trenc in Mallorca, even though I must confess - I haven't been a guest at your hotel yet. Please allow me to explain this unusual circumstance, because the reason is both simple and extraordinary. I am a frequent returning guest at the Iberostar Fuerteventura Palace, where I have always enjoyed wonderful stays. During my most recent visit, I decided for the first time to experience the spa - and there I had the immense privilege of meeting Dalia, one of your team members who is currently working at the Fuerteventura Palace for several months. I am writing this review because I want Dalia's colleagues at the Iberostar Es Trenc to know what an absolutely exceptional representative of your hotel - and indeed of the entire Iberostar brand - you have in her. No matter where she works, Dalia is a shining example of excellence, dedication, and genuine human care. Over the course of two back massages and hot stone treatments, I experienced a level of expertise, compassion, and professional skill that has honestly left a lasting impression on me. Dalia possesses what I can only describe as a profound, almost intuitive understanding of the human body's muscular system. Her hands don't just massage – they listen, they explore, they understand. She has an extraordinary ability to identify exactly where tension has built up, where muscles have cramped, and where the body needs release and healing. This isn't guesswork; this is deep, professional knowledge combined with years of experience and a natural gift for reading the body's signals. The way she applied this expertise through her skilled hands was nothing short of phenomenal. I could feel that every movement, every pressure point, every technique was purposeful and tailored specifically to what my body needed in that moment. What made the experience even more remarkable was the human connection we established despite a significant language barrier. Dalia is from Mexico and speaks Spanish as her native language, with limited English. My own Spanish, I must admit, is quite rusty and far from fluent. Yet somehow, this barrier became almost irrelevant. Through a combination of simple words, gestures, genuine smiles, and what I can only describe as being on the same wavelength, we communicated beautifully. It's a testament to Dalia's incredible empathy and emotional intelligence that she could understand not just my physical needs, but also create such a warm, comfortable atmosphere where language became secondary to human understanding. What truly sets Dalia apart is her holistic, conscious, and reflective approach to wellness. She doesn't just perform treatments mechanically – she truly thinks deeply about each guest's individual needs. She demonstrates a level of awareness and resilience that is rare to find. At the end of my sessions, she took the time to share valuable insights with me about how different points in the body are interconnected. She gave me practical tips and simple techniques that I can use at home to find more relaxation and maintain the benefits of the treatment. These weren't just throwaway suggestions; they were thoughtful, personalized recommendations based on what she had observed during our sessions. I'm genuinely looking forward to trying them out, and I'm grateful to have this knowledge to take home with me. Beautiful hotel - it has been recently renovated and the pool area, bars, restaurants and bedrooms are all immaculate and well designed. I was worried that the pools would not be big enough but because there is direct access to swim in the sea right outside the pool area, it works well. The roof top area is also a great relaxing place to sunbathe. There are also some nice extras like daily aqua aerobics that we really enjoyed. The food and service were also very good. My only suggestion is that I feel this hotel would be much better suited to be an adults only hotel. The pool area is very tranquil and relaxing and there is no kids club, no areas for them to play by the pool and no evening entertainment. There was one day that I felt frustrated that there were some children around the pool that seemed a bit bored, which disturbed me swimming. This only happened on one day but I’d be concerned about going back unless they designate an adults only pool or area.

End of season visit for a big wedding anniversary. Hotel is gorgeous and service was exceptional. We opted for all-inclusive and enjoyed the food and wine very much. After the first day we broke our North American custom of three meals a day and settled for a big breakfast and dinner after the 7pm sunset.

Spent 4 days at Iberostar Selection Es en Trenc, lovely property situated on the water in Colònia de Sant Jordi. Why did I give it 4 stars and not 5? Let me explain. To me, 5-star luxury anticipates. It is effortless. It is practiced, polished and…most of all…it’s consistent across the board. Luxury sweats the details. Premium and upscale off access to nicer amenities but what they have in niceness they sometimes lack in attention to detail. What I liked about the property: 1. Staff were lovely. Friendly. Fran at the pool was a great guy. 2. Location - right in the water and facing southwest…making for stunning sunsets over the water. 3. Pool had unobstructed sunlight all day. 4. Not a huge resort. About 150 rooms. Made it feel more personal, not small enough to be intimate, but lovely. 5. Very, very few children, and the ones that were there were well-behaved. 6. Guests were lovely. People dressed appropriately for meals, no one was rowdy or staggering around drunk. Felt very dignified. What could have been better. 1. Staff were nice, but I would not say they were consistently attentive. Attentive = luxury. Nice but not attentive = upscale. Attentiveness issues at bar, buffet restaurant and pool (though not Fran. He was very attentive). 2. Limited food options on property. There is a buffet with good, not great food. Sit-down restaurant is reservation only and we could not get in on any of the nights we were there. Booked solid. 3. Rooftop bar was closed the entire time we were there even though there were ads in the elevator encouraging you to go up and visit. 4. The rooms are a bit weird. When booking I had a hard time appreciating the room layouts from the photos. And I think I know why. We booked a panoramic suite. Killer views. Weird thing was the bathroom sink and all storage for clothing were in the living area. The toilet was also off the main living area so if you were having a moment anyone sitting in the sofa is gonna hear it. Shower was in the passageway from the living area to the bedroom. Interestingly, we lucked out because the other “suites” are open floor concept with the living and sleeping areas in one room. That’s not a suite in my book. All in all, we loved our stay and would happily return. Understanding the property, what it is and what it is not, I will come back with expectations aligned to experience and I’m sure it will be a wonderful time, again.

Chilled hotel, no towel on the sunbeds here👍🏼Rooftop area has stunning views. Staff are super friendly and the hotel is spotless. Modern. Sink sits outside the bathroom which is a wee bit odd, but you get used to it. Buffet has good selection. The area is much quieter than the north of Majorca - but if you are looking for a majorly relaxing break - book here 😎
