Here’s the updated version with those points added in naturally. My wife and I stayed at Iberostar Selection Es Trenc from 8th to 16th June for one week, and overall we had a really lovely stay. We booked a garden room, although at the time we didn’t fully realise what that meant. It turned out to be a great choice. It wasn’t a garden in the traditional sense, but we had an outdoor bath and access to a large shared private patio area with lovely covered seating and green enclosed loungers, which were perfect for relaxing and watching the sunset. The room itself was beautiful, modern and cleaned to a very high standard. Housekeeping came up to twice a day, towels were changed, coffee was restocked, and little sweets were left in the room in the evening, which was a nice touch. The only downside is that the rooms are quite small. There isn’t much space to store cases, and there also isn’t enough room around the sink/bathroom area to put toiletries. The staff were excellent throughout our stay. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, attentive and helpful, and service around the hotel felt calm, professional and well run. The poolside call buttons for service were a really good idea and made ordering drinks or food very easy. The food was a real highlight. The buffet breakfast and dinner were superb, with a huge selection and plenty of variety each day. Dinner started from 6.30pm, and there was always fresh meat and fish cooked to order, as well as a Majorcan selection every evening. One night there was a huge sushi selection, and another night had an excellent fish and seafood selection. There is also an à la carte restaurant, but we didn’t feel the need to use it as the buffet was so good. The outside dining area by the sea is also a lovely setting. The hotel has amazing direct access to the sea, and the snorkelling was excellent. The pool area is very nice too, although the pool doesn’t open until 10am, which may not suit early risers. The gym is one of the best-equipped hotel gyms I’ve used, with lots of modern Technogym equipment, free fruit and water, and both indoor and outdoor training areas. It could do with a few more benches and weights, and the air conditioning only really works properly when the doors are closed, but overall it’s excellent for a hotel gym. We also had massages during our stay, which were very good. The only slight frustration was that the appointment system didn’t seem to be linked properly with the hotel app, so booking or managing appointments wasn’t quite as seamless as it could have been. The hotel app itself was actually really handy. It was useful for checking what was on each day and keeping up with activities and information around the hotel. There were also some very thoughtful touches around the hotel. WiFi was strong everywhere, and on every floor there were water stations offering boiling, chilled, ambient and sparkling water, which was genuinely useful and much better than constantly buying bottled water. There were only a few small negatives. We noticed a smell coming from the drain at times, the lights in the pool toilets timed out far too quickly, the minibar prices were expensive, and the rooms could definitely do with more storage space. But none of these issues spoiled the holiday. Overall, this is a beautiful, modern hotel in a stunning location, with excellent food, great sea access, friendly attentive staff, very good service and some genuinely thoughtful details. I would definitely recommend going for a garden room if you like having extra outdoor space.
Quite simply an excellent hotel that has only been open a couple of years. The staff are first class - attentive, helpful and very hard working. Facilities are excellent two pool swimming areas and access to the sea where you can snorkel (free from reception) and see lots of fish. Regular events in hotel - exercise classes, local food/wine tasting, live music, movie night but none are pushed to guests all are there for you to take or leave as you please. Breakfast first class - lots of choices and quality ingredients. Colonia St. Jordi is a little sleepy some nice restaurants and a nice seafront area but if you are looking for nightlife until the early hours this is not the resort for you. Alternatively if you are looking for a relaxing authentic Mallorcan break in an excellent hotel in a pretty location. You would struggle to find better. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Iberostar Es Trenc and it is very likely we will be back. A big thank you to all the lovely staff - you are all a credit to the hotel.
We had an incredible stay at Iberostar Selection Es Trenc. The food was outstanding, a huge variety and genuinely superb quality and the cocktails were delicious throughout. Service was consistently warm and attentive, and the pool area was a lovely place to unwind. My husband especially loved the direct access to the crystal‑clear sea, perfect for snorkelling and absolutely full of fish. The sunset views from the rooftop pool were unforgettable, made even better with more amazing cocktails and atmospheric chilled music setting the mood. Exactly what we needed to rest and recharge. Five stars ❤️
Hotel a good 5 star Iberostar. Great location on a sea facing promontory. Excellent rooms and newly opened hotel so everywhere crisp and clean. For once I used a hotel Spa for a stiff back and shoulder and Luminita was EXCELLENT. The best deep tissue massage I have ever had Also tried Reflexology for the first time and that improved my feet and ankles noticeably. Cant recommend more highly.
Absolutely beautiful hotel. Stunning views and great location. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. Food and drinks are excellent quality and lots of choice. Would highly recommend and will definitely come back.
