located, which makes a great first impression right from the start. The breakfasts also deserve special mention – they are delicious, varied, and clearly prepared with great care. The rooms are a bit dated, but very clean. They should consider installing smoke detectors in the rooms. Although there is a no-smoking policy, the sofa in our room had burn marks. It’s not the hotel’s fault, but a smoke detector might help discourage guests from smoking. However, what really makes this hotel stand out is the atmosphere. It’s created by the people – especially the reception staff, who are exceptionally helpful and kind, as well as the always smiling team in the restaurant. They make the stay feel much more than just accommodation. I had a very pleasant time there and would gladly come back.

Another amazing break at La Pergola. We love the quality and class of this beautiful hotel. The staff are exceptional, customer focussed, and it's always service with an smile. Half board is a must and the cuisine is exceptional, a la carte service. Menus are available to cater for all types of diet. Our apartment was lovely and well equipped. Beautiful grounds to relax in maintained by the friendly gardening team and a short stroll to the town which we enjoyed most days. Lots of extra touches including a pianist at breakfast which was just lovely.
