I don’t usually write reviews, but I think this hotel definitely needs another honest review. When you read the bad reviews on here or elsewhere- PLEASE take those into consideration when booking this hotel. First of all, even though we purchased an all inclusive package - basically most items need still paying for . Your basics, such as kettle, iron, even things as mugs to have in your room - need paying. 20€ for iron. 10€ for kettle (week) and 5€ per mug, PER DAY. Things like ice cream (not the little plastic tub ones they do) cost anything over 2€, crisps anything over 1€ .. all the branded good drinks also need paying… first time, us staying in an all inclusive where we need to carry our wallets. Maybe we’re just used to an actual 4* & 5* hotels. Hot drinks are only in the morning for breakfast in the buffet area. Food is nice, with a variety daily, for breakfast, lunch, dinner. The area is hilly, like very hilly. Quite secluded, but we actually like that. The rooms are lovely and the exterior is so pretty. Pools are small, compared to the size of the accommodation. The pools are also very slippery, especially the little one , not very great for young children. Also quiet dirty, and quiet a bit of mould. Majority of staff are rude! Especially the ones at the buffet. No smile, no chit chat, no hello, no bye. Entertainment is lovely, they are really doing their best. There are very few bins around.

Vše v naprostém pořádku, nádherné ubytování, čisto, krásná koupelna včetně fénu, výměna ručníků, hezké posezení na balkoně...,jídlo výborné a příjemný personál. Krásná příroda okolo, Mohu jen doporučit a určitě se ráda vrátím na stejné místo:))

Honest review from a mum of two young children (age 3 and 6). We booked this hotel for the pools and splash equipment. Overall, we had a wonderful time but honestly the hotel was above a 3 star but below what you qould expect of a 4 star. Negative points: * The splash park has tiles missing around the edges of the pool and it is incredibly slippery at these areas due to this. Also the slides gave my little boy and partner blisters on their toes due to the roughness at the end. Pool shoes made a big difference - definitely invest in some if you book! * The mini disco starts at 20.30, late at night for young kids. However. My daughter loved it and went every night. :) * The cocktails are machine made. It didnt bother me but at other 4 star resorts they make them fresh from my experience. * Staff seem stretched a bit thin. There is only one or two bar staff and the queue for service can get quite long. Only one bar open at a time. Only one lifeguard around the pools most of the time. *There are a lot of flys, wasps etc and they are around the food in the dining hall. Not much can be done for this but it is something to consider. Also, mosquitos in the evening so buy some repellent! *There is only one male and one female toilet around the main pool which is the most utilised area so the hygiene suffers greatly. * The resort is very hilly. It didnt bother us and I wouldnt let it be the deciding factor but if you are up the top of the resort there's a lot of slopes to climb so be aware! *Inflatables not allowed in the big pool. (Fair but i would have liked to have someone tell me). Dont invest in them for older children unless they will be happy to use them in a shallow splash pool. *The shop is conveniently close but expensive so be ready to pay high costs if you do want any extras. *Only negative with our room was that the shower blocked easily (with sand etc) and never seemed to drain quite right. NOW on to the points we liked: *Staff work extremely hard and are friendly and happy to help. The entertainers offer aqua aerobics, games and on a Saturday, a walk in Fornell to everyone around the pool and seem to enjoy encouraging participation but dont press too much. *We were thankful for an upgrade to a better apartment which was more spacious and closer to the pool etc - not guaranteed if you book but nice of the hotel to upgrade us without being asked. *The splash park was a hit with the kids. *The food was alright, it was not as bad as people have stated but could use a bit variety for the children. The children's section seems to always be chips, nuggets, fish fingers etc and at times the chips were cold. For adults, it was varied day-to-day with a good selection of desserts. *Basically on the beach, making it easy to mix up the day and keep it interesting. Paddle boats and sun beds available to hire. Lovely walk along the bridge to the second beach. Apparently if you walk across the second beach you find a smaller bridge with a family of terrapins living below in the lagoon. I didnt get chance to see for myself but others did tell me. *Friendly families around and most happy to help eachother and have small conversations. Lots of sharing of toys etc which was lovely. * Fresh cocktails were sometimes on offer and were very refreshing but this is only at the pool side on rare occassion. * Sun beds easily available if up early( we are). After 9am you wouldnt get them round the main pool but never had a problem at the splash pool. * Rooms cleaned daily with fresh towels. * Hotel arranged taxis to and from the islands zoo. *Pools clean and plenty of bins spaced around (its only a few metres to walk to one - im not sure how people can complain there aren't enough) *Room was nice and spacious with a smart TV available and a large storage wardrobe. *Easy to check in and out. Rooms won't be ready until after 3pm so be prepared to store your luggage, my advice have some food or visit the pool before you get to your room. All in all we had a wonderful time and made some great memories.

I was really nervous coming to this hotel due to the amount of negative reviews I had read following it reopening. This my first trip abroad in 6 years and my first with my children so I felt sick worrying what we were coming away to! However I am writing this on my last day here and we have a had such a great time, the staff have been so friendly , helpful and patient. They have all been very patient and helpful with my attempts to lean Spanish when ordering at the bar! The food has been really good and literally non stop all day, same with the drinks. Yes you have to pay for branded ice creams but the are not to badly priced. The only issue with the food has been the flys, they are everywhere...the hotel are doing their best to keep them away but they are relentless and have been landing on the food. The food can be repetitive but to be honest i didnt really expect it not to be with it being an AI buffet I expected some repetition. We had spoken to a few families who got sick, but we didn't experience that. We enjoyed the restaurant that you get included in your stay the food was tasty (the pizza was delicious) The staff work very hard in the restaurants and the bars and generally around the resort. We also walked up the hill to the restaurant bar & grill Okapi which was lovely well worth a visit to break up your stay. The beach is right next to the hotel just a short walk and the water is beautiful & shallow for a fair bit out which was great for the kids. You can rent x2 sunbeds with shade for the day for €20 which we did for 1 day and the next we just took our towels. There is the main pool by the splash park but there is also another quieter pool if you walk to the other side of the complex which was very peaceful. I have travelled with my husband and x2 children (8,5) and the entertainment has been great for them. All the entertainment team are so good, Goofy and Fathi are so friendly and there are games though the day for the adults as well We haven't struggled getting sunbeds around the main pool, getting a table at the buffet or getting tables at the evening minidisco but I appreciate its not peak season so the hotel is a bit quieter. We got a taxi in to fornells which was €7.95 (ish)one way and it was a beautiful little harbour with a nice walk to the castle with stunning views. We also got a taxi to Lloc de menorca a small zoo/farm animal reserve and it was fab the kids loved it, and it was very interactive with the animals. We got a taxi for ease which was approx €30 one way. You can get busses but for less stress we just got taxis. The bus times are not very regular and the wait between them can be quite long! I can understand some points from the negative reviews I have read, the hotel does look a bit tatty and worn in places, some of the sun loungers are broken, and the pool tiles have come away and the fake grass does look old and tatty in places, the doors in our bedroom wouldnt shut and the air-conditioning was so noisey and it smelt of drains on and off... but to be fair I did also see the maintenence staff non stop around the hotel fixing and painting etc so you can see they are trying, they also came out quickly to fix the doors which was appreciated. We were in L block which was a little walk up the hill away from the main complex...the little veranda thing outside the room isnt a private balcony like the other more expensive rooms..but it was fine. I would recommend this hotel, yes there are definitely areas for improvement with the general upkeep, but we have had a great time, the staff all work so hard and they have made this family holiday great!

Spent a week here at the end of the UK school holidays with wife and grandson (8). Was a bit put off by the reviews beforehand, and too be honest it is what it is ! The only thing that makes this a poor review is the price we paid ! It is a 2 star resort at best, how they get to charge 4 star pricing is beyond me. The room was a premium location one, at the top of the hill away from everything. Main bed was fine but the sofa bed was dirty and uncomfortable. Thankfully the main bed was big enough for 3. Nothing but 3 classes in the kitchen cupboards. Cleaning was okay. The whole place could do with a makeover, such as the pool area. They obviously don't want to spend any money on the place so just artificial grassed over the old tiles. Tiles missing in places around the pool and generally tatty. Bins rarely got emptied around the pool area and wasps and a lovely family of rats have taken residence around the bar area. Pool beds were a mix of new and really old, and obviously not enough for guests if you weren't down for 9 o'clock. Food was acceptable, salads and deserts nice enough. Drinks okay but obviously cheap brands. Close to 2 beaches, closest one full of seaweed which never gets cleaned up and the bigger beach is much nicer over the wooden steps. Would I go back ? Only if the price reflected its quality !
