Playa Azul

Hotel poskytuje výborné stravování - měli jsme polopenzi, pokoje s výhledem na moře jsou úžasné. Denně uklizeno, čistý bazén. Po Menorce lze dobře cestovat autobusem, měli jsme také půjčené auto. Z důvodu krátkých vzdáleností lze Menorcu procestovat a užít si krásné výhledy a scenérie. Také výlet lodí se skleněným dnem je příjemným zpestřením. Ulice jsou čisté, domy svítivě bíle natřené s kontrastem zelených okenic v úzkých uličkách dokreslují kouzlo ostrova. Všude klid a pohoda.

The hotel was lovely,the staff were friendly and our room had a lovely sea view looking over the beach. The rooms were nice and the food in the all inclusive was really nice lots of choice and delicious

Negatives; Upon arrival we had to wait 3.5 hours to be given a room. The food at lunch and dinner is edible and warm but quite limited compared to other all inclusive hotels we’ve stayed to. Pool is clean but the paving surrounding it is quite clunky under foot and needs to be re grouted. We’re having a windy day today and brollies are being blown down but no staff are picking them up or tying them up to stop them blowing over. The outside bar area tables are rarely cleaned and tidied up. There are always empty cups/glasses on tables and the table tops not cleaned. Some bar staff charge you a refundable 1 Euro per plastic glass when you get a drink saying it’s because they are not returned??. Perhaps if they cleaned the tables and collected the glasses this wouldn’t be an issue???. The only snacks available during the day other than set meal times is a bit of fruit from the bar. The beach is a long climb down steep steps which can be draining in the heat. Entertainment is non existent. All inclusive drinks are very limited and all the rest are chargeable. Positives; Restaurant, reception and rooms are very clean. Rooms cleaned daily. Reception and restaurant staff are very nice. Conclusion; If the bar area was cleaned and glasses collected regularly, the stupid 1 Euro per glass policy ditched, proper nightly entertainment organised and proper hot and cold snacks available all day then this would be an acceptable hotel but for now Im afraid that I would not recommend to anyone at the moment.. Two stars at best.

Just got back from this hotel after spending 3 dreadful days there, the accommodation I booked was not what I got,a 1 bedroom bungalow is what I booked and I got a 1 bedroom studio apartment that was equipped for a disabled person, after a discussion the receptionist/ manager said I could upgrade with discount for 380 euros for accommodation I originally wanted in the first place !! Food disgraceful absolutely shocking ! Please please read this review before you book here, the evening entertainment is zero there is no children’s club and no children’s entertainer,if your an early riser and like a morning cuppa or coffee your out of luck unless you hire a kettle for 20 euros or can wait until 8am for the restaurant to open,TV in room had to be changed 3 times as it wasn’t working I know you don’t go on holiday to watch the TV but it’s nice to switch on and see some news, the pool area and the views are fantastic, some of the staff Eric, Aidan, Carlos and Greta were fantastic. I went to Playa azul just over 4 weeks ago and it was brilliant so I don’t know how in such a short space of time it has gone downhill so fast After returning from dinner one evening (local pizzeria) i discovered the curtains and the entire length of the inside wall covered in ants and when I complained to reception I was told to go to the local shop and buy some insect spray!!!! Also double check the photographs are actually of the hotel and not AI as some customers were previously misled by this and were compensated , I doubt if I will, but that’s fine as I WILL NEVER return to this hotel unless the management sort out basic customer service and food improvement, its not hard really look after the customers and they will look after you by returning , some of the reception staff need re-training particularly in manners shrugging your shoulders isn’t an answer to any of my questions, you know who you are !! AVOID AVOID AVOID

Room was very clean and beds have new mattresses. New reception really looked fresh and spacious. Floor tiles around the pool area did a lot of clonking as they require taking up and relaying. Bar area was OK but tables and floor need cleaning regularly but not enough staff to do these chores. The paying an euro for a plastic glass seemed crazy. Some staff seemed confused about drinks. Toilets didn't have hand soap available and had to find some out of other toilets. Toilets near pool very small and floor slippy. No attendant going round checking up. Food on most occasions was cold and therefore not edible. Had salads most of the time I stayed in. Cost me a lot of money going to eat out in the evening Breakfast was always good and variable. Staff always tried to be helpful and made you welcome. I believe the food needs to be better and hot and it will be excellent. Going again in September so hope issues sorted and I do understand the hotels has changed hands recently. It's a lovely hotel and are is wonderful quiet and safe. Just up the anti please
