I really hate to give this hotel two stars. I have stayed here twice. The first time was a five star experience. I was a female alone in the hotel and felt really safe. The hotel is in a great location, it’s very quiet, and very, very clean. On my first visit, the staff was very attentive and everyone was really nice. The rooms are spacious and the beds are super comfortable and I love the pillows too. Another great perk is one of my cars is a Tesla and there are Tesla chargers on site. Second day, not so great. I was there with my husband, thank goodness. We had been out late on Saturday night and came in after midnight. I was looking forward to sleeping in as the checkout time is not till noon, another great perk. Since we got in so late, I didn’t go to sleep until about 2:30 AM. At around 9:30 AM there was a knock on the door, it was the housekeeping staff wondering when we were going to check out. WTF??? Why the heck is somebody knocking on my door 2 1/2 hours before checkout and waking me up? Do they not get notified when people leave the room? My question to the staff, if my husband had not answered the door, would you have barged in? So dangerous on so many levels. Several years ago at another hotel chain, a man tried to get in my hotel room when I was there with my 12-year-old niece. Needless to say that was very traumatizing and I have not stayed at that chain since. After writing letters to the board of directors and lawyers, they have totally retrained their staff. Because of that incident I am now licensed to carry in 42 states. Unfortunately California is not one of the states I am not licensed in so I was unarmed. Upon checkout, I made it clear how really pissed I was. I got a meager apology and parking charges removed. Front desk guy said he would talk to the head of housekeeping, but I doubt that happened. Front desk indicated this had happened before and the complaint had been mentioned to Housekeeping. If that were true, this should have never happened. I also asked that the head of Housekeeping call me. This has not happened and this incident was five days ago. Had I received a call from the head of Housekeeping this review might’ve been very different. I am a gold member and I am in this part of California at least once a month. I won’t stay at this hotel again because I don’t feel safe here anymore. If you are a single woman traveling, think twice.

I have been staying here for a few years on business trips multiple times a year. Always a pleasure staying here, but wanted to give a shout out to Jesse, one of the waiters at breakfast. He’s always very attentive, quick, and provides great customer service!
OK stay - we stayed 4 nights and the room was decent, location was good. Even if it felt like at a quieter, remote corner of the street, there were several other things such as restaurants within driving and/or even walking distance. Few Salient takeaways: - Parking (no idea why the property would charge for it - try to negotiate an offer, if you can) - Breakfast Buffet: Nothing fancy as such and certainly not for the price charged (SAME meat and options for ALL of the week!!). The person helping (Jesse) was nice (of course only if you tip him!) but not only he feels (rightfully so), it also seems he is very underpaid!! Doesn't hurt to check the Marriott next door might offer - we didn't and who knows - at least the breakfast is something better ;-)
The check in process was quick and easy ! Alex was great help and the hotel was clean and nice . Very welcoming and accommodating to meet the guest needs . Loved my stay ! Thank you
