AC Hotel by Marriott Miami Aventura

Nice location convenient to the Miami Open and walkable to restaurants. The reason we will NEVER come back is because some clown with a sense of humor literally made the toilet a focal point of the room! You can't see it from the pictures but the toilet is in a small closet with only a thin glass door separating you and all your bathroom functions with whoever is in the room. The shower is similarly situated although less offensive depending on the roommate. I'm married and stayed here with my husband and we both thought this setup was comically bad. Don't most people prefer some privacy when they use the toilet? He was in the Marines and even they provide solid doors! I hope these hotel designers get some sense and stop designing rooms this way. I'm a Titanium member and obviously stay with Marriott often but this is DEFINITELY not it. Find somewhere else in Aventura as we otherwise enjoyed the area.

The hotel has declined, and its level of cleanliness is low. The hallway on my floor, the 9th, is dirty and needs to be vacuumed — I assume the others are the same. One elevator has been out of service for several days. The parking lot elevator is filthy. We had to change rooms because the lock broke and couldn’t be repaired for two days due to a lack of spare parts. Very poor management. This needs to be made known on social media.

Miami used to be home, but I relocated to Atlanta seven years ago for work. Even so, I return often since my entire family is still here. Over the years, I’ve stayed at places like the Marriott Harbor and JW Marriott Turnberry, but I’ve now found my new home away from home: AC Hotel Aventura. I first stayed one night over Thanksgiving, choosing the AC Hotel simply because I wanted to be close to my family’s house for dinner. I was completely amazed by everything, the service, the views of my old neighborhood, and the genuine at-home atmosphere. Two weeks later, on my second visit, the moment I stepped into the lobby, Mohamed greeted me by name. That was the moment I knew this is it. I will never stay anywhere else. I’m already on my third visit since Thanksgiving. Thank you, Mohamed, for making me feel truly right at home. Unforgettable experience.

I have to say the staff we encountered at the front desk were not at all courteous. Also, the one night we stopped for a drink, the bar tender decided we did not deserve her attention. Our room however was clean although missed some amenities after house keeping was done. Also, the air conditioner fan was very loud. On the positive the hotel has a nice lobby and the location is walking distance from several nice restaurants, which are right across the street.

They have staff that are pro Palestinians, I called the manger and did not get an answer, they must be evaluating what their move will be , lest hope it wise
