Rooms: fantastic, great storage and well cleaned Buffet Restaurant: Fantastic breakfast and lunch,(best I have seen at any hotel I have been to before) but evening meals lacked a theme or variety. Speciality Restaurants (3) .. Ok, but way below the standard of their Caribbean Counterparts. However the steak at the a la carte was perfect. Bars: Beer was good, but cocktails nowhere near as good as in the Caribbean Staff: Marshall the Restaurant Manager was very attentive, as we were there for a big birthday, and always made sure we has seating for our group (8 people) Check In: The second RIU visit running I have had a poor room allocation, which is very disappointing as I am a RIU class member

Brilliant hotel, amazing food, friendly and polite staff Would highly recommend this hotel

Our group of 4 couples celebrating a 60th birthday trip were looking forward to a relaxing week after a hectic first week tour. We were not disappointed, although the hotel was large we never felt over crowded and never had to queue for anything. There were plentiful sun beds without having to lay claim by putting out towels early. We found the buffet food choice to be excellent for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We used the main lobby bar and the pool bar, both of which provided great service. We made bookings at the Kaori, Sauté and La Forchetta restaurants and were not disappointed. A special mention should go to Marshall and his team for looking after us and making sure that we were given a table together every night. Our room had a sea view with a balcony and was comfortable and spacious with a good bathroom. We had one small issue with our shower which was resolved very quickly after reporting via the Riu app. We all very much enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book again.

5* i can not fault the venue ,staff,food, The place is kept clean .The sfaff are so polite and helpfull . Nothing is an issue. Enought room 3 pools swim up bar .There is enterainment quality is a bit limited but the effort is there and the booze is free . Just tip the staff out of politness goes a long way.

I stayed at this wonderful hotel with a friend for 10 nights in January, and it genuinely deserves a review. The hotel is spotless, the food is excellent, and the staff go above and beyond. As a curry lover, I was in heaven with options at every meal. It was my friend’s birthday during our stay, and the team made it special by decorating our room, gifting sparkling wine, arranging an à la carte dinner with a decorated table, and surprising her with a cake. Our TUI rep even brought flowers. Later in the trip, I injured my ankle during a River Boat Safari. The hotel arranged a doctor, medication, and bandaging straight away. Marshall, the Restaurants Manager, looked after us throughout—seating me comfortably in the à la carte restaurant and arranging vegetarian meals when they weren’t on the menu. On our last night, he reserved a decorated table and another bottle of sparkling wine. He was fantastic. Although tips aren’t expected, I gave small amounts to staff who worked so hard. People like Chasindu and Prasanna always looked after us, even finding us a dry table when it rained. The Head Chef, Siri Kumara, kindly gave me his Dhal curry recipe because I loved it so much. Sri Lanka is beautiful, and although my ankle limited what we could explore, I’d return in a heartbeat. A special mention also to Braheem, the tour operator outside the hotel. He rearranged our plans after my injury, refunded a tour we couldn’t do (despite us insisting he keep it), and his brother even guided us around a temple and helped us shop in Bentota. Thank you to everyone who made our holiday so memorable—injured ankle aside!
