Shalimar

This i my first time visiting the resort and honestly its such an amazing place and atmosphere and the animation team do the best at what they do and make the biggest difference one of the team who made me feel so comfortable was Monaliza shes honestly like the sister I never had and its been a pleasure to meet her and all the rest of the team ill definitely be coming back

We were escorted to our room by a member of staff who helped with our cases. The room was basic, no hot drink facilities. The toilet is separate from the bath/shower and sink, and it’s so small you almost have to sit on the toilet to close the door. A/C didn’t work for the first few days. No handrails to assist getting in the bath which is also very deep and can be dangerous when the floor is wet for someone less able. Cleaners only make the beds, we ran out of toilet paper after they came in and had to ask reception for more. Food - breakfast is seriously lacking in variety and the omelettes we had, were undercooked. Lunch and dinner seem to be the best times for food, despite not a huge variety and some things still be undercooked. We feel that staff didn’t give all the required information regarding where things are around the hotel, such as where beach towels are or how to get to the beach. So the positives of the stay, the entertainment staff especially Monaleza (sorry if it’s spelt wrong) and Solomon. Everyone single one of them made us feel like family from our very first day and would come chat to us throughout the day or whenever they saw us.

Beautiful grounds and an amazing animation team. Special thanks to Solo who checked in regularly with my husband and I. Sadly, the lack of air conditioning in such a hot country was a huge let down. Was informed that A/C does not come on until 15th June. Other hotels in the same price bracket were fully air conditioned. No alternatives offered. Too hot in the rooms and certainly not 4 star as stated in other reviews. Wish I had seen them before!

my experience at the hotel has been incredible the staff are wonderful anf the rooms are very clean. the entertainment in the evening is really good.
