This hotel is not 5 stars at all. And we found out they make local people boost their rating with rave reviews online. Here is the truth. Room was super small and was dirty. I attach photos but just imagine- we had someone who wrote they were there in 2024 on the dirty glass and it was the end of 2025 when I see this. Also a condom wrap from previous guests next to the bedside table. I observed how they “clean”. With one dirty cloth the lady cleaned the sink and half the bathroom and the room. Floor was all covered in sand and hair. Sheets were not changed at all only the towels. Noise was medium but the nearby mosque made it hard to sleep at 5:30 in the morning… Food was not tasty, often obviously reused from previous meals/days. Bread was dry and everything was greasy and heavy, bo healthy food except for some meat and fish on the outside terrace of the restaurant. Very repetitive too. Also I have lactose allergy and they didn’t have anything else but regular milk. No coconut, no almond, nothing to have a normal coffee. Plus food had no indication what’s in it so I played the guessing game. The ice cream worked from 13:00 to 16:00… explain this to a child. Everything in this hotel looks old, greasy and dirty. But the main issue is the staff- 99% of them don’t speak anything but Turkish. And the manager is rude and will not help you if you have an issue. We wanted to sit together as a group to eat and were denied because we will take up a lot of space and tables. Wouldn’t we anyway? A la cart restaurant required us to divide our group of 35 people into two separate nights. So we can be with another divided group there… Makes 0 sense. Animation was not advertised well, so we naturally took no participation in anything. Beach bar was fine and keep in mind the selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks was very limited and not the expensive type. We all had our children with us too. There was basically no animation for children, the play rooms were OK, but nobody took care of the kids inside so the mothers stayed there. Two young ladies, not speaking English were sitting in front of it and nobody looked after the kids inside the play ground. A boy from our group got injured there. And what really shocked me was the fact anyone could enter and take out a kid. They never once asked me anything. I just went inside, took with me my kid and 3-4 more from them company and no one asked a question. Nobody cares. Spa is dated and dirty. Massages are great but as you can imagine- paid. And the shows on stage- there were two good nights with international music and dance shows. But all the rest was boring, live Turkish music which drove most of the guests away to different areas. People from outside Turkey are not interested in this depressing experience, thanks. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all.
Do not bother if you are English, the staff will either ignore you or make jokes between themselves clearly aimed at the English/British tourists. I have never felt more uncomfortable on holiday in all my life as my family and I were made to feel at this hotel, the staff don't even try to hide it, multiple times we seen them pointing and laughing. Room service were on the floor every day however our room seemed to be "missed" 3 times in a week. Im not sure why Jet2 list this hotel so highly on their website when it is clearly not intended for tourists.
The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I love Turkey and have been several times but this hotel really left a bad taste. The staff were rude, completely disregarded the English and made us feel very unwelcome. Smoking was permitted everywhere. Around Food and children! The Food was below average. The rooms were small. Whilst we were there I complained many times that our room would not lock properly. Each time they pretended to fix it. It has gone from a 5 star when we booked it to a 3 star. A 3 star is generous!
⭐ : Extremely disappointing stay – at The prive didim hotel not as described and poor service throughout Not 4star plus as described. I am very disappointed with my recent stay at this hotel, which was booked through Jet2 Holidays. The experience was far below the standard advertised and certainly not what I expected from a Jet2-recommended property. From the moment we arrived, it was clear the hotel was not as described online. The room was dirty and poorly maintained, and we had to ask for it to be cleaned immediately after check-in. Even then, the standard of cleanliness remained unacceptable. The staff were rude, dismissive, and generally unhelpful, which made the situation even more frustrating. Pool area was never cleaning in the 7 days I was there. The food was extremely poor in both quality and choice. There were very few options suitable for English guest always cold not everyone wants chips, despite the hotel being advertised as catering for international visitors. The hotel appeared to cater almost entirely for Turkish guests (around 95%), which made it very difficult to feel comfortable or included. The reception area was chaotic, with luggage scattered everywhere and guests sitting on the floor. It gave the impression of a camp site rather than a proper hotel. This lack of organisation and care from the management was visible throughout the entire property. I contacted Jet2 Holidays by email during my stay to explain the situation and request to be moved to another hotel, but I received no response at all. Being ignored while stuck in an unpleasant and uncomfortable environment was extremely disappointing and left me feeling down. Overall, this holiday was a major disappointment. The hotel was misrepresented, the service was unacceptable, and Jet2’s lack of response made the experience even worse. I would strongly advise other travellers to avoid this hotel until standards improve, and I hope Jet2 will review how this property is being promoted to customers. ⸻
3+ max, definitely not ultra lux We really dont understand why this hotel has such a high rating. This is a 3+ star hotel at the most. Language gap influenced our stay: We were some of the only English guest here although the hotel was full. This made every single aspect of the holiday difficult. We went with Jet2. Staff would use translator apps to talk to is but sometimes even with that it was hard to communicate. Predominantly fully booked with mostly (98%) Turkish guest, which may mean it may be a good local find, but it also meant it was okay to smoke in all outside spaces include all the outside seating for the eating hall. We have stayed in another resort in Turkey and smoking was not an issue. Here guest smoked everywhere, beach, bar etc. This hotel claims to be 4+ but this and other issues such as spa (discussed later) means it is not more than 3+ at the most. Many guest complained about how this hotel was mis-sold by the media and other companies such as Jet2. The spa: The Jet2 guest liason said the spa is external and should not deduct from the hotel. The spa forms part of the hotel and I cant agree with the liason. Again, the other resort we stayed in also had a spa which was seen as part of the perks for a 4 star hotel, and their spa was beautiful. This hotel's spa was so, so dingy, dirty and dated. We avoided the shower / locker areas as they were shocking. Old shower curtains, blocked drains, dirty shower areas and they still use moth balls in the sinks! See pics, but I dont think eve the pics can describe how dingy it was. It was also very slippy due to marble everywhere. This is an issue all over the hotel and managment needs to address this. The sauna was not working while we were there and no effort was made to fix it in the 7 days we were there. The sauna was new, but the benches were small and narrow. Bit at least this bit was clean. At the ither resort, we used the spa often and had a few treatments. Here, no one could pay me enough to get a treatment. This area needs a complete overhaul by someone who understands luxury, cleanliness and safety. The other big issue here was flies. Flies on the food did not seem to bother the other guests or staff. Again, this was not a problem at the other resort, so why was this here. Again, the flies, smoking and dingy spa is not the standard of a 4 star hotel. The hotel is also in the middle of nowhere so it means you need to rent a taxi to go anywhere. Vehicles may not have seat belts for bigger groups. There are no charging stations other than in the front lobby of the hotel. This means when you wait for a late transfer, no way to top up your phone. This should be an important upsate for a hotel that aims to be even a littleon the luxury side, as it has very far to go. Only two usb ports per room. If you ask for a menu, staff will just point you to online app or give a qr code to scan. This means often we were not sure what was included as part of our deal. There are mosquitos, so bring insect repellent/ be aware Problems in the rooms: No fitted sheets, so sheets dont stay in place at night. Also very thin walls so you can hear tv etc of other guests If you stay for a certain amount of nights you get one night dining at either Italian or ala carte. Dispite asking for the Italian, due to the language barrier, the staff booked us in the ala carte instead. Children wanted Italian, but no more availability before we left so had to go to restaurant we did not ask for. Staff did not care much that they made a mistake. Unacceptable. No apology or attempts to fix this by guess relations. Even the guests relations staff did not all speak English. What is the use of being part of this guest team if you can't communicate with guests Here I think Jet2 is also to blame. They should in the write up of the hotel mention there might be a language barrier which will affect your stay in some way or another. Aircons are not very stable, where it does not keep a temp displayed on the screens and temp goes up and during the night. But, at least they worked. Shop located inside do not have pricing do this means pricing change for guest by country. This is a shop inside the hotel so please fix please. We also requested a twin bed room with jet2 and the hotel provided a double, so we ended up sleeping on the floor whilst my autistic child took the double. Being called Darling by male staff. Hotels should educate their staff. Using this terms implies a familiarity and is disrespectful to female guest. This is common in Turkish resorts. Space by the pool is very difficult as people leave towels to keep spaces but then disappear. Pool staff should make rounds and remind people to remove towels to make space for guests. I do feel that the staff cared more about the local guests vs other. Problem with Internet sometimes and this is a problem as to order food etc you need to be logged in for everything. Food, not great. Flies of course does not help. Pastries always looks beautiful but never taste good. Food was 3+ star I would say. Not more. Not a lot of imagination or temptation. For what we paid, this hotel in not worth it. Food is lacking and generally on the older side of things. We definitely would say we overpaid. Another really annoying thing was the photographers that would come up to you when you are taking pictures of family etc. trying to sell their services. The hotel should make it clear that it should not be allowed i.e. approaching guests unless they request this. Internet can be very slow. Jet2 agents were few and far between and barely had time to talk about and/ book trips. In general, this is an average hotel. Not ultra lux as it tries to sell itself.
