Liberty Signa

We recently returned from a week’s stay at Liberty Signa. While we had a really enjoyable holiday and the hotel is undeniably beautiful, there are several areas where it currently falls short of a true 5-star experience. First Impressions & Check-In On arrival, the hotel is stunning and makes a fantastic first impression. Check-in was quick, smooth, and handled by genuinely warm and helpful staff. Our luggage was taken to our room, which was a lovely touch. Rooms We were initially shown to a Deluxe Jacuzzi Room which looked beautiful. However, upon stepping onto the balcony, we discovered a completely cracked glass panel, which was a clear safety concern. We reported this immediately, and to the hotel’s credit, they handled it very well and moved us quickly. Our second room was spacious and well-equipped, with a large shower and great amenities. Unfortunately, the air conditioning wasn’t working. We reported it, but nothing was resolved during our stay. We had to sleep with the balcony door open all week. We later discovered the air conditioning across the hotel was centrally controlled and not switched on. On the day we left, guests were told it was now available for individual control—far too late and not acceptable for a 5-star hotel. It was also concerning to see at least two other balconies with cracked or missing glass panels. Considering the hotel had only recently opened for the season, this didn’t give a great impression in terms of maintenance or safety. Service The staff are a real highlight of the hotel—friendly, attentive, and clearly working extremely hard. At the beginning of the week, service was excellent. However, as the hotel became busier, standards became inconsistent, suggesting there may not be enough staff to cope with higher occupancy. In the buffet restaurant, drinks were initially served at the table, but later in the week this stopped, leaving guests unsure whether to help themselves or wait. This inconsistency made things feel a bit awkward. The 24-hour restaurant started off fantastic but became less reliable. On one occasion we waited 20 minutes for a menu, and another time had to leave without receiving our food due to delays. A simple explanation of wait times would have made a big difference. Food & Dining Food overall was very good, with plenty of variety in the buffet and lots of opportunities to try new dishes. * Petra (adult-only) was excellent * Tatre for lunch was probably our best meal * Bon Bon patisserie and the waffle house were fantastic The Italian à la carte was disappointing. The lamb chops were very fatty, and desserts (panna cotta and sorbet) were served frozen solid. There also appeared to be tension between staff over tables, likely due to the volume of guests. One thing we felt was missing was a casual snack option by the pool. There wasn’t anywhere to quickly grab something savoury like pizza or light bites during the day. The only option was Timeless, and guests weren’t allowed to take food out of restaurants, which felt restrictive for an all-inclusive resort. Activities & Entertainment This was one of the biggest letdowns of the stay. Many advertised activities (such as spin bikes and paddle boarding) were not available for our holiday. While a few were added later in the week, it still didn’t match what was advertised. There was also a lack of clear communication—activities and e entertainment weren’t always advertised properly, and some events appeared at different times or not at all, leaving guests unsure what was happening day-to-day. Entertainment was very inconsistent: * Our first night was fantastic, with lively entertainment in the arena until 11pm * Other nights, shows lasted only around 30 minutes, which felt very short and left evenings ending abruptly * One night, an advertised band in the Irish Bar never appeared * One night at the Sunset bar and amazing singer and Saxophonist were playing after the arena entertainment but nobody knew anything about it which meant there were only 6 people total at Sunset that evening. * We were told there may be a DJ at the adults-only Lumos Beach area, but this never happened during our stay. Overall, entertainment lacked organisation and consistency, which is not what you expect from a 5-star resort. Pools & Facilities The outdoor pools were lovely, especially the main pool. Some were a bit chilly, but understandable for the time of year. The spa area was not clearly communicated—doors were closed, from the indoor pool through to the spa and changing area, and it wasn’t obvious that the sauna and steam rooms were free to use. This meant many guests missed out, including the excellent vitamin bar, which is located in the spa and part of the all inclusive. The gym had plenty of equipment but felt more worn than expected. The adult-only indoor pool looked impressive but had several issues: * Swim jet not working * Broken or missing jacuzzi buttons * Some jets not functioning * Visible wear suggesting it was unfinished or rushed, which was such a shame as again it could be a beautiful pool area. Technology & Small Details There were a number of smaller inconsistencies that added up: * The Liberty Signa app was not fully functional and showed outdated information * QR codes on beach sunbeds for drink service didn’t work and this wasn’t communicated * The minibar was inconsistent—some days it was restocked, other days it wasn’t. * I was told by others after my holiday that they have a guest relations Whatsapp group to tell you what's on but most people have any dea about it, it isn't advertised anywhere Individually these are small things, but collectively they make a difference—these are the details that define a true 5-star experience. Overall Liberty Signa is a stunning hotel with incredible staff and lots of potential. However, at present it feels closer to a 4-star experience than a true 5-star. There are clear signs the hotel may have been rushed to open for the season, and it doesn’t yet feel ready to handle full capacity (around 1500 guests), particularly during peak times. Nothing we experienced was major, but it’s the accumulation of small inconsistencies, lack of communication, and maintenance issues that ultimately impact the overall experience. With improvements to staffing, organisation, and attention to detail, this hotel could easily become exceptional. We did still have a great holiday and I put this in part to the friendly staff and the food quality.

Third time back after two peak season visits last year. Excellent service from the get go. Special shoutout to Hakan and the team at guest relations who go above and beyond in their daily duties. Restaurants are still up there with some of the best I’ve ever had and are an experience in themselves! Reception team Baris and Gorkem are top of their game aswell in helping with whatever we needed. Highly recommend to families and couples alike.

I travelled alone with my son. The atmosphere and vibe of this hotel is very luxurious and 5*. My first impressions were good as the hotel and its grounds are all immaculate and well maintained. I was offered to sit in the reception bar and get a drink while my room was being changed as I requested to single beds. The room was fabulous. Pool access room that had wonderful views. The amenities in the room were excellent. I didn’t leave the hotel as I was only there for a week to relax. The beach setting was amazing. Beautiful setting and views. Plenty of sun loungers and wonderful spaces created around the resort to have a quiet drink, enjoy live music and singers around 2-4pm on the beach. It was simply wonderful. The drink menu and service was wonderful. I would never have to wait to long before the fabulous staff would be there to take my order by me lounger. It was heaven. Plenty of comfy Seating areas throughout with sofas/chairs and it’s not a very large hotel where you’ll find you have to walk long distances to get from one place to another. It was very well planned and set out with all the facilities, entertainment, restaurants, shops, pools etc. The breakfast was my favourite meal of the day. The selection and service of the chefs preparing the food was exceptional. Freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious. The fruits were always fresh and cut. There was also a almost 24 hour restaurant called Timeless.. It did close for a couple of hours at Times during the day. The pizzas there were divine however the other food I would say was basic. I would recommend going to a few of the à la carte restaurants for variety. Bear in mind we are in Turkey when visiting restaurants like the Italian and Indian. They have a wonderful patisserie and café where you can get a quite extensive drinks menu. The speciality teas and coffee menu is wonderful. If you are a real foodie there are not several stalls where you can go and get snacks and eat around the pool. They have a strict policy that you cannot take food out of restaurants. There is a waffle bar 12pm onwards which is outdoors and you can take waffles away. The resort is immaculate for this reason and there is not food and rubbish around anywhere. It makes the resort more attractive and clean. The toilet around the resort are clean and maintained as are the gardens. For my teenager the entertainment was fabulous. He played Boccia and water polo nearly everyday. Tanka was amazing. The evening entertainment was great. The atmosphere and quality of the shows was amazing! A variety of different shows and the singing and dancing was fabulous to watch. Thank you to the guest relations team and especially the manger! Hakan your service was excellent! This team couldn’t have done enough to make the perfect holiday.

Will not be returning , this hotel has not been built to last . We went April 2025 and thought to return due to us knowing the hotel was new and wanted to give it a second chance . When we arrived the rooms were flooded due to the rain . The air conditioning did not work once we questioned we were made out to feel we were lying and there was no issue. So had to sleep wit the doors opens and the room was so hot .The pool outside our room was dirty and had not been cleaned . There was also building work going ahead and was not peaceful at all , when questioned the hotel staff their response was you have a room upgrade. Probably how they try to get away with it I did not feel the hotel was safe . Lots of loose tiles, loose railing's and cracked glass. The service was poor in the buffet and there weren’t enough tables for the timings we went to the buffet . Entertainment was lacking for younger children all they really have is the slides. Not recommended for families .

Returned last week from Liberty Signa and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The hotel had clearly reopened before it was ready. Despite being closed over the winter, there was constant maintenance work taking place throughout the resort, which significantly impacted our stay. There was ongoing banging and drilling around the pool, beach, and main promenade areas, as well as near the restaurants. This was not isolated to one area—it was happening across the hotel at various times of the day, including early mornings and evenings. For example: Continuous drilling and hammering around the sunset beach bar Ongoing work around the main pool areas Noise from maintenance near the restaurants and walkways This made it very difficult to relax and enjoy the holiday, particularly given the price paid for what is marketed as a 5-star experience. I raised these concerns early in the stay with reception and Guest Relations, and spoke with multiple managers, sharing videos and photos as evidence. While I was offered the option to move rooms, this would have been a downgrade and in a different part of the hotel, and did not resolve the issue as the maintenance work was happening across the entire resort. We later understood that a transfer to the sister hotel had been approved, however this was never actioned during our stay. There was also: Very limited entertainment, with only one evening act in the Irish bar A noticeable lack of atmosphere Some restaurants and beach facilities closed Litter and rubbish on the beach The tennis courts at the front of the hotel were in a poor state, with rubble, holes and uneven surfaces—an accident waiting to happen Overall, the hotel did not meet expectations for a 5-star resort. It felt like we arrived while significant works were still ongoing, which should have been completed before guests returned. Despite raising concerns during the stay, we left feeling that the issues were not properly resolved, which was very disappointing given the cost of the holiday.
