Amazing resort where stayed 8 nights We had a complimentary meal at the Lovio Italian Restaurant which was amazing and was very high quality. Overall very well maintained and managed no shortcomings

We spend a week in this beautiful Rixos Park Hotel and i have to say that everything went perfect, from check in to room cleaners and spa, restaurants, rixy club… People are very friendly and they try to do they best to make us feel comfortable and enjoy our time. Natali from the spa-very helpful and very nice, friendly and she did her best to have me relax, then the ladys from the kids club, where my daughter (6 years old) love to stay and do all they activities from 9.30 in the morning until 23.00 they have a very nice program . The guys who drive the shutte bus into resort, the personal from the bars… all very kind and friendly. Thank you and thank you Rixos for your hospitality. Best regards, Alina

I recently stayed at this hotel in late March/Early April. The hotel is lovely, the staff are great and the food is excellent. The room was a little smaller than we expected, but was always very clean. The kids club was fantastic and had a very full schedule of fun activities. I visited the spa which was also excellent and great value for money. Unfortunately my stay was ruined after I was scratched by three different cats whilst in the hotel restaurant and lobby area. Stray cats are permitted inside the hotel, and sleep on the furniture and are allowed to congregate in the main restaurant. I am an animal lover, so did not mind the cats being everywhere and saw guests including children and adults picking up the cats, petting them, feeding and playing with them. The staff never discouraged this or removed the cats from inside the hotel or pool area. We were told they were vaccinated and I now understand that this is the general rule in Turkey as businesses such as hotels are required to capture stray cats on their premises and neuter and vaccinate them before releasing them. Realistically, there does not seem to be a way to guarantee that the cats have all been vaccinated as they are strays that have entered the hotel complex and can climb up fences or enter from the beach. Unfortunately the hotel did not at any stage explain to me that the cats should not be interacted with, nor did they warn me of the risks to me and my 4 year old son if scratched or bitten by one of the cats, something which I would expect to be communicated clearly at a 5* hotel. When I visited the on site doctor, I learned that I needed to go to the local state hospital for a post exposure rabies and tetanus vaccine immediately. Because I had not understood the health risks, I had already waited 6 days at this point. It transpires that rabies is endemic in Turkey and the government recommends anybody who is scratched or bitten by a stray animal is treated in a state hospital as soon as possible after potential exposure. I cannot understand why the hotel would not make this clear to guests. This was very upsetting and a terrifying experience. English is not widely spoken in this part of Turkey and I struggled to understand what was happening at the hospital, relying on a taxi driver to translate for me. When I arrived at the hospital I met another couple whose young child had also been scratched at the hotel that day. I was also disappointed by the hotel’s Guest Relations approach to helping me. They had a very inconsistent approach to the seriousness of the situation (at one stage they suggested I wait a further 24 hours until a manager was on shift before changing their advice) and when I asked for help arranging a taxi to the hospital they told me I had no choice but to pay €70 for a luxury car from their agreed supplier which did not seem fair or necessary. I raised a complaint over a week ago via the tour operator (TUI) and was assured I’d be provided with an investigation report and feedback but so far nobody has contacted me. We came away to this hotel for a relaxing family break and it was completely ruined by this experience which caused so much stress and worry. My son is 4 years old and had been interacting with the cats. It is terrifying to think he could have been bitten or scratched and at risk of rabies. In addition to this, I had to spend the final days of my holiday liaising with my GP at home to ensure I had access to the further doses of the vaccine upon my return. The vaccine is administered in 4 parts and has made me quite unwell over the last week as I’ve had to have it every 3 days. I have a fever and flu like symptoms.

We really enjoyed our stay at Rixos Park Belek. The Rixy kids club team was amazing especially Lale. They had loads of activities for the kids and were very friendly. Would highly recommend for families
