Vox Maris Resort Hotel

Im absolutely shocked how this hotel gets a 4 star review on trip advisor. We were concerned reading the reviews but we shouldn't have been. There's no issue whatever nationality you are! The hotel is spotless. You get robes, slippers and mini bar in your room. Everyone is so friendly and the staff are just fabulous. I honestly dont think it makes any difference if you tip them or not, they will give you their best but please understand 100 Turkish lira is only about £2 so just leave them a little if you are happy with their service? When you are on the sunloungers theres a QR code to scan for drinks and I think thats a lovely touch. The food is perfectly acceptable and enjoyable. The range of drinks is better than ive seen in any other all inclusive. The old town is 15min walk away. Ive read reviews that say 45 min which is just rubbish. We wont go back to many places but this one we would for sure. We stayed in a land view room that was so quiet as most people upgrade or book the pool view. We overslept breakfast many times 🤣 The hotel has a couple of resident cats, they are mostly in the lounge, they dont sit a at your table while youre eating? We love cats so its no issue but its not over run with cats or anything. Special thanks to Sinan and Yusef at the lounge bar that made our evenings perfect. They are so accommodating if you fancy a drink thats not on the menu, they will try their best to create a drink you like ! Dont hesitate to book this hotel!

We had a fantastic stay at VOX Maris Resort. The hotel is extremely clean, very welcoming, and the food was consistently good throughout our stay. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, and all the staff worked hard to make guests feel comfortable. A special thank you to the bar staff, Sinan and Yousif, who looked after us so well during our holiday. Their friendly service, attention, and positive attitude really made our experience even more enjoyable. Happy to help with cocktails not on their menu. We would happily return and definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Had the most amazing time away here on my own. Not many brits, but all the staff were lovely and welcomming as well as other guests so i didnt feel left out. Food was amazing, generous pours on the drinks and fun activities. Yusuf made me special cocktails all week after finding out it was my birthday, always smiling and showing his skills at mixing. Other bar staff were also amazing, remembering what i liked and bringing them over to my lounger. Room was spacious, modern and very comfy. I want to be back there!

When we first arrived at the Hotel, Ibrahim helped bring our bags inside from the mini van, he welcomed us and we then registered into the hotel, Ibrahim then showed us to the room, the family rooms were on the first floor overlooking construction work at the back of the hotel, at first we were a little disappointed but later concluded that we don't really use the balcony much so decided to stay in that room. The room itself was nice, with dressing robes, slippers and tea and coffee with a kettle at hand. The towels were changed daily and the fridge was kept stocked up with drinks on a daily bases too. The rooms were quiet during the night so there wasn't any disturbance other than the others you are sharing the room with. We were hungry when we arrived late in the night and we found we could get sandwiches on a 24 7 basis, the bread was fresh and was wholesome. The dessert bar was open too so my family could get a coffee. Breakfast had a lot of variety, they made fried eggs and omelettes fresh for you and you could choose the toppings and add cheese which was very nice. There were a number of different options from meats to more health conscious choices. Orange juice was offered by the waiters which was refreshing. At lunch the meals varied from day to day, but I can't comment much on it as I looked forward to the snack bar or Food Stop as it is called at this establishment. At the Food Stop, there was seating and once seated a menu was given and we could choose from pizzas, wraps, burgers and were freshly made to serve, it was like we were at a restaurant but on the house. One time though, I was left disappointed as we came late around 15 minutes before the time the snackbar was going to close, our order was taken but the food did not arrive, and the Stop shutters shut up shop. Henceforth, we made sure we came well before, but I still believe they should not have taken our order if they didn't have the time to prepare the food. Dinner had a lot more variety in comparison to Lunch, from seafood to chicken and meats and of course veggie options. The thing I liked about this place was that there was pizza and fries served every evening so if I didn't fancy anything else, I could default to that. I would like to give a special shout out to the young lady that served during dinner, she was very smiley and welcoming and would go out of her way to assist us. Also, in the mornings, I would take my tea bags brought over from England and go to the dessert bar, I would ask the waiter to add hot water to the tea bag, and asked for milk, the first time I asked this, I was given milk separately in a cup but explained I want milk adding to the tea itself, thereafter, it became routine for the waiters to prepare this for me in the mornings. Another thanks to the lady at the desserts bar, as she would take the tea to the seating area for me as I have a disability and would offer me a biscuit or cookie as they would call it. We did have another problem in our room where the bidet stopped working but my dad reported the issue to the reception and a plumber was sent promptly and fixed the problem. Other notables were that there was a prayer room for both males and females with ablution facilities inside, this made it a lot easier than praying in the hotel rooms I had to at previous hotels, my dad used the indoor pool a few times and other than the Hammam people haggling for your attention he enjoyed it. There was good quality Wifi throughout the hotel and we could even get decent connections across the main road too. Also the hotel cats were super friendly and added to the experience. Overall, the stay was the best I've had thus far in Turkiye, the staff went out of their way to make you feel accommodated such as providing us sandwiches before going out to excursions and giving us directions to the mosque for Friday prayer. I would like to say a thank you to all the staff for the nice experience and would be happy to recommend this place to others.

Very disappointing experience. The place was supposed to be open until 5 PM, but when we arrived it was already closed. Because of the poor customer service and lack of proper information, I am leaving a very negative review of this resort.
