A Five-Star Resort That Gets Everything Right I travel constantly and, if I’m honest, I’ve become a rather critical hotel guest. I find myself noticing everything – poorly positioned plugs, strange lighting choices, confusing room layouts, unreliable WiFi, and all the little details that can make or break a stay. Dream of Zanzibar was one of those rare hotels where everything simply worked. From the warm and genuine welcome at reception to the outstanding service throughout the resort, every aspect of the experience felt thoughtfully considered. The staff were exceptional – friendly, professional, and always eager to help. The all-inclusive offering was excellent, with great food, quality drinks, and attentive room service. The rooms are spectacular, spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. The beach setting is simply stunning and exactly what you dream of when visiting Zanzibar. What really impressed me were the practical touches. The WiFi worked flawlessly throughout my stay, and the smart TV system allowed me to log into my own Netflix and Prime accounts, making it easy to relax and enjoy quality entertainment after a day in the sun. The spa was another highlight and well worth visiting. Dream of Zanzibar, part of Paradise & Wilderness, delivers the kind of effortless luxury that many hotels aspire to but few achieve. It combines beautiful facilities with excellent service and attention to detail. I would highly recommend this hotel and would happily return.

We have just had a lovely 5 days at dreams of Zanzibar for our honeymoon and opulent recommendation it more. The hotel is spotless and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The hotel benefits from being right on the beachfront, with a quiet pool area. There was approximately 20 other guests during the time of our stay. Food options were excellent either plenty of choice. Will be booking to return next year. Thank you for a lovely stay.

CAVEAT EMPTOR! BUYER BEWARE! Claiming to be a 5-star resort, they struggled to be 3 stars it is filled with short fallings. D of Z is definitely not disabled person friendly as there are stairs everywhere except into the pool where you must enter down a wall ladder. Bars and dining rooms are predominantly on the second floors or at the least up a few stairs. Food was INEDIBLE. We lived on rolls, tomato and cucumber for 2 weeks. There was nothing to tempt us at all. Soup was hit and miss. Grilled meat in the evening was dire as were the pizza squares and brochette (white toast with chopped tomato, I think) Breakfast was ok as they offered fresh omelettes and waffles (if you asked for a fresh one and not the cold rubbery ones off of the buffet.) Lunches and dinners were always cold and over cooked. Chatting with the other guests we found that this was the complaint from everyone. Spices were not existent which was strange as spices are one of Zanzibar's high points. On one of our first few nights, we went to the roof-top bar, the bartender left us sitting at the bar for 15 minutes without acknowledging us. When I commented that we would like a drink he responded with "You are not the only person in the bar" There were only 2 other people there!!!!!!!!! The resort also had next to no internet. Guests were hanging all of their laundry off of the balconies a point we took to management and yet nothing was done about it. This was not a one off situation and got worse as the holiday went on. Perhaps offering your guests a drying rack in their room to put up to dry wet swimwear and laundry could be a solution. The rooms and bathrooms were beautifully designed, large and spacious. The potential is there with much correcting. Dream of Zanzibar was not 5 star and more of a nightmare.
