Lovely hotel in a lovely location. The beach is pristine and the water very warm Unfortunately if you want to snorkel a lot of the coral is dead due to the high water temperature. However there are still plenty of super fish to see. The food was amaxing with some nights as a barbeque with king prawns and kebabs. Really delicious. Our room was good with a super bathroom and shower with lots of hot water. There were traders on the beach but they weren't too pushy on the whole. The pool was beautiful too.

The LUX Marijani is an amazing resort on the east cost of Zanzibar. Rooms are well appointed, the infinity pool looks out to the white sand and ocean and the staff work tirelessly to ensure your stay is first class. Rehema in guest relations was incredibly helpful when our flights home had to be changed, arranging an extension to our stay. Abu introduced us to the resort’s herb garden and guided us on a reef walk where we saw amazing starfish, sea urchins and tiny fish and Mildred made sure we were welcomed to the restaurant every day. Food choices were varied and delicious. Abu and others in the animation team offered a range of activities including yoga on the beach deck and aqua aerobics. We could not recommend the resort more highly. Our second stay at a LUX resort- Marijani definitely lived up to the LUX standard we had expected.
