Heritage Grand Perast by Rixos

The staff at this hotel just doesn’t care. After contacting the hotel several times to attempt to secure their free shuttles, we ended up walking 1.6km in the heat with our luggage. When we complained to the hotel regarding this, the staff at reception seem angry with us. Then the wait staff completely ignored us for our entire trip. It was like an episode of “mean girls”. We asked to speak to the manager on several occasions but he/she was never available. Also, two articles of my clothing went missing after this stay. This hotel is beautiful and the location is amazing but the staff is apathetic at best.

Very majestic 5 star hotel in beautiful Old perest where there are no cars. It’s a big hotel, so there are a great atmosphere and lively surroundings close to the great restaurant Conte.

We planned to stay in this hotel for only one night; however, we decided to prolong our stay for one more day. The location is superb. The hotel is located in an ancient palace right on the sea. Inside, everything is luxurious without being too much — sobriety and good taste are the key words. Our room was the Heritage Premium Sea View suite, and just being in that room made us feel relaxed and at ease. The room is really spacious and amply adorned in pale blue and white; the bathroom has a walk-in shower, and the amenities offered were outstanding. We were given a welcome basket with fruits and homemade cookies. The staff were really attentive and great — they were very helpful in arranging an extra night and organising a boat tour of the bay for the following day. The waterfront restaurant offers dishes prepared with fresh ingredients, and the breakfast offering was fabulous. The beach and swimming pool areas were clean; they offer towels, and if you need refreshments or something to eat, staff are there to help and take care of you. A truly recommended gem.

What an experience. We have never felt so relaxed and rested. Superb hotel. Superb Spa. Stunning Perast. Tips: • Travel to/from the airport via speedboat. Hotel concierge will book this for you and you won’t find it cheaper anywhere else. It saved us a lot of time, which was invaluable for our short break. • Bus stop for Kotor. Just as fast as a taxi and just a few euros. • Spa. Experience the deep tissue back massage with Maya - sensational! • The hotel’s panoramic restaurant is beautiful. You feel like royalty on its’ elegant first-floor terrace overlooking the breathtaking Bay of Kator. It’s a shame that it’s not marketed better as I think it would get a lot of visitors attention if people knew about it. You do need to book as there are only 8 tables. The “Eight at Panoramic” was an exceptional taster menu by Chef Vasilije, a highlight of our stay.

The table next to us was served bread and olive oil before the meal, but our table never received it, and no explanation was given. On top of that, my gnocchi and soup were served at the same time, which made the service feel rushed and uncoordinated. In a restaurant of this standard, courses should be served in the proper order so guests can enjoy each dish as intended. The food itself had potential, but the lack of attention to service and consistency significantly affected the overall experience. I hope the restaurant improves these details, as they make a big difference to the customer experience.
