Hotel Huma Kotor Bay

I loved my stay in Huma, Kotor bay. The room was clean, comfortable and cool. It has Rituals toiletries, which I love. In the room we had a coffee maker and a fridge. Housekeeping was twice a day. You can’t drink the tap water, even boiled. That’s why there was bottled water brought every day. Couple times I ran out drinking water. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever experienced! There was EVERYTHING! A chef making omelets, an orange juice juicer for fresh juice, healthy shots, a sparkling wine… but the most exciting for me was a barista making specialty coffees to order! The staff was so nice and friendly! Thank you Sam for the coffees! Thank you Wai Wai, thank you Kumar , thank you Hari Krishna and Hari Krishna! Thank you so much to their lead man for making my birthday special! The beach was spacious and comfortable. The water is soooo clear! The same staff from breakfast were working at the bar on the beach. The cocktails were delicious!! I enjoyed using the gym every day! I had my manicure done by a wonderful lady! I also enjoyed a yoga class on the beach with Anja. I think the hotel can advertise more the yoga class. Anja lead me amazingly! We also took bicycles few times. It wasn’t a cheap holiday but I loved every minute of it!

Beautiful hotel in a fabulous location. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel incredibly welcome. A special thank you to Sofija and Gul, who went above and beyond to make our stay truly memorable. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made us feel genuinely valued throughout our visit. We would also like to thank Edin for his generosity and kindness in choosing what turned out to be the most wonderful meal for us at Mudra. His recommendation was exceptional and became one of the highlights of our stay. The hotel was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully presented, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. We had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this hotel. We look forward to returning.

OK Hotel but expected more from a 5 star witch cost alot. This is good at the Hotel: The privat beach and the gym (gym is very very good for a Hotel). STAY AWAY from the Italien restaurant at the Hotel. They clearly serve pre-pepered overpriced meals. We did not try restaurant at beach.

This hotel is no way a 5 star in most places would be 3 stars at most. We booked a deluxe bay view room. We were totally shocked when entering the room we discovered our main view was a wall and there was no balcony!! We of course immediately tried to change rooms but were told the hotel was fully booked despite the rooms either side of us not always being occupied and there was no prospect of change. So check your booking carefully if the description does not say there is a balcony there isn't!! At first sight the bathroom looks good but the surrounding glass doors become invisible at night, as I know to my cost. I went to the loo the first night without turning the light on and ended up with a very bruised chest and narrowly avoided a black eye! So very dangerous. Large hotel but only has 2 small pools one with 12 beds the other with 4. Children were unsupervised and were jumping from the top pool into the other pool below, again very dangerous and all the paths and stairs were very wet because of this. Tables by the pool are left uncleared and when you can get a bed in late afternoon there are no clean towels available, but lots of used towels left on the beds. Children were also playing in the pool up to 10.30pm at night. So a quiet drink on the terrace was out of the question. I counted 52 steps to the beach. Which is fine stones, so beach shoes a must. And the entrance in the water is quite steep so not ideal for anyone not too steady on their feet. Breakfast had plenty of choice, but not good quality. You could get a fresh omelette but apart from that hard fried or boiled eggs. One day they did breakfast outside. Meats and cheeses were left in the sun and little wasps were landing on the food and taking parts of it. So unhygienic and didn't eat anything that day. The best thing was the freshly made coffee. In all I would not recommend this hotel. It is in a lovely position and could be great but just doesn't make the grade.

This hotel has potential but ultimately failed to win me over, partly due to poor management and a general lack of value for money. The room was spacious and functional, but the only true highlight when entering the room was the magnificent panorama of the Bay of Kotor from the balcony. Unfortunately, room cleaning was mediocre (best not to look under the bed), and amenities like coffee capsules and shower caps were not refilled. More concerning was the lack of privacy; housekeeping entered our room twice without knocking. On one occasion, when we asked them to wait five minutes while we got ready to leave, the staff member responded with a visibly angry glare. The general friendliness of the staff left much to be desired, making us feel unwelcomed at times. There were exceptions, of course—one of the hostesses in the breakfast room was incredibly warm and provided excellent service. Breakfast itself was fine and we had no complaints there. However, we were bothered by the hefty extra fee to park our rental car in the hotel's garage. Given that the room rates are already premium, the additional charges felt excessive. While the surrounding nature in the country is beautiful, the highly inflated pricing throughout our stay left a sour taste, and the approach of this hotel certainly contributed to that feeling. The layout of the property also feels strange for a 5-star stay. It consists of four blocks that are only accessible from the street. Whenever you want to go to the reception, breakfast, the pool, or the beach, you have to walk out onto the street first. If you have children, do not let them go alone to the pool or beach area. The pool is nice but rather small with limited sunbathing options. The private beach is beautifully landscaped, but it also operates as a beach club for paying outside guests, and it’s immediately obvious that all the attention and service are directed toward them to bring in extra euro's rather than the actual hotel residents. Finally, a tip for the management: if there is ever another (minor) fire incident where the electricity goes out at 3:30 AM, emergency lights come on, the smell of smoke fills the air, and guests see the fire department's flashing blue lights from their balconies, please follow up on it. After a sleepless night, it would have been highly appreciated if a manager had simply walked from table to table during breakfast to briefly explain what happened and apologize for the inconvenience.
