Hotel Le Meridien Lav

Booked a room with sofa bed specifically included as there were three of us, but the hotel originally charged us €25 a night extra for it, pointing to ‘small print’ saying “If a rollaway bed is required, the daily fee is EUR 25”. This despite the fact that it was specifically included plus a sofa bed is not a rollaway bed. After I joined my family I challenged it with the front desk and they did agree to ‘waive it’, but buyer beware! The manager did say she would follow up with the sales team, but this felt very underhand and unethical.

A very pleasant hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast options were extensive and to a high standard. The pool is excellent and the the sunchair availability was pretty good, however there was little control and beds were loaded with towels first thing and not used until later in the day. The room was expansive and well maintained and cleaned daily. The prices for food and drink are probably in line with a 5 Star hotel = expensive. The facilities are very good. The Hotel is about 30-45 minutes from Split - depending upon the traffic.

The hotel is lovely. The staff looked after me and my partner really well. Rica , John, Maria and Marco of the breakfast buffet are very accommodating and made sure We enjoyed our mornings :) The housekeeping kept our room tidy everyday. There are loads of restaurant nearby that offer tasty food. We enjoyed the sunset and sunrise everyday which we can see straight from our hotel room. The Hotel had relaxing sun beds and good facilities like the gym, tennis court, indoor pool, sauna and steam room that We enjoyed :) We enjoyed our overall stay.

Massively Overpriced - Poor Quality - No Value for Platinum Elite At **£550 per night**, this hotel was around **£350 per night more expensive than I believe it was worth**. Despite the high price, they charge an additional **€20 per day for parking** and even **€5 extra for fresh orange juice** at breakfast. The breakfast was disappointing, the **entire pool area** was tired and unattractive, and many of the outdoor areas looked old, tatty and poorly maintained. While the beach has beautiful views, it was almost impossible to find available sunbeds. The **front office staff were disappointing** and seemed very reluctant to honour Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite benefits, particularly room upgrades. We were initially given a "sea-view" room that overlooked another building. After lengthy discussions, we were shown another room, but it offered little improvement, and we spent a considerable amount of time going round in circles before eventually returning to our original room. Even late checkout required discussion, and despite our Platinum status we were only offered **3 p.m. rather than 4 p.m.** Before booking, the Marriott app showed upgraded room categories as available, making the whole experience even more frustrating. The only real positives were the friendly housekeeping and bar staff. Overall, this hotel felt tired, low quality and vastly overpriced. It is simply not worth the price they charge.

There are many mixed reviews on this hotel and I am not sure why as we had an excellent experience. We came here for our honeymoon and it did not disappoint. The restaurants on site were excellent and the staff was very kind. The hotel was incredibly clean. This is not near the Diocletian so don’t expect walking distance to it. Ubers are sometimes challenging to get so be patient and when heading to the airport, give yourself time as there can be traffic. The two beach fronts at the hotel are awesome. Bring some water shoes to not hurt your feet on the stoney shore! The pool is great too. THIS IS NOT AN ADULT ONLY RESORT. There are kids running around and having fun. I think that’s why people are rating this bad. You can rent day beds at Gooshter’s for the day and enjoy some excellent bites. You can also do a nice walk around the bay. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and had a relaxing time!
