Hotel Le Meridien Lav

My stay was very exceptional from check-in to check-out. Ivana checked me in and hit all the proper "notes" for a Bonvoy greeting and recognition. Our room was very nice with a view of the sea and Split across the bay. The location is great and away from the hustle & bustle of Split proper. The breakfast buffet was very nice and made for a good start to each day. There was no concierge on duty while there but the front desk attendents were most helpful with information & bookings. The indoor whirlpool and sauna were most appreciated by my partner as she had a bad cold and these helped her immensely. Overall it was a most enjoyable stay.

This was such a great stay! I have been to Croatia multiple times and stayed at multiple properties, but this visit we wanted to specifically hit a Marriott Bonvoy property and it didn't disappoint. The location is amazing at the marina with the sunset and the boats and the views and the vibe - so great! Loved it! Ivana checked us in at the VIP desk and was so helpful, there is a great concierge that answers a WhatsApp and the front desk was great, lovely gal with great black rimmed glasses, missed her name tag :( The proprietor is an advocate for kids local and across the globe, he facilitates sports tournaments on property and does kids camps and it was so impressive to hear. For this reason alone I will be back and I will put clients here. Our bartender for both nights was Damir and what a fine young man! LeMeridien is so lucky to have him behind the bar. He is personable, friendly, knowledgeable, here to please with special request, swift and makes an amazing drink! We enjoyed him so much and waited for him to be on shift to spend time in the bar :) Great property, so much to offer families and every other configuration guest. Highly recommend...

On the plus side our room was spacious and had a lovely balcony. On the downside we had to be moved as it was one of two rooms immediately under the bar. This was because they rearranged and reset the furniture moving it across a hard floor at 6.30 in the morning and last thing at night. They moved us without fuss but do avoid rooms 309 and 312. Other than that and the smell of cigar smoke as they were holding the world championship cigar smoking in the conference centre ( in a non smoking hotel???) we had a very pleasant stay and found the staff and particularly the concierge Karla- very helpful. The pool was fine and there were some pleasant shady spots around.

This is not a 5 star resort. There is zero wellness taking place for mature adults who are looking for a relaxing stay. There are kids screaming in both the indoor and outdoor pools. There are hundreds, Yes hundreds of young men drinking and swearing by the pool. This hotel is an international convention centre. The public are allowed to wander from the beach into the pool.area, there are no questions asked and yesterday it was like club 18-30. Do not cone to thus hotel if you are over 40 looking for peace and quiet. Dreadful place.
