Dreams Curacao Resort, Spa & Casino

We stayed in an IL Mare Beachfront Bungalow. Our bungalow was number 29 and was a wonderful location with a straight on ocean front view from our bed. The beach and ocean views were gorgeous! The bungalow itself was well appointed but the closet, the shower and toilet area were small. Plus the open shower allowed water to splash all over the floor. The IL Mare section of the resort was beautiful and we loved having access to Dreams and Zoetry. These are the people and things that stood out during our stay. We absolutely loved being able to wake up and walk out and enjoy the beach and ocean right from our private porch in our lounge chairs with our umbrella. We had several meals delivered to our bungalow and ate right on our deck. Those meals were delivered by Anderson. He was awesome! He always had a smile on his face that was infectious and made us happy every time he came to deliver something. He made a point to wave or come shake my hand when he saw me through the resort. We also were able to order drinks delivered directly to our bungalow as we lounged on our deck by messaging our butler group and either they or Anderson would bring them to us. Our butlers were Rendy, Romke, and Fernando. We interacted the most with Romke and Rendy but they were all amazing. Any time we asked for anything they were completely on top of it. They regularly communicated with us via WhatsApp and kept us up to date with what was going on. Romke took the time to chat with us whenever he saw us and I feel like we got pretty close to him. He has a wonderful personality and seemed to absolutely love his job. We also interacted with Gio from the other butler group and he made a great impression. He joked with us and made us laugh. He made a point to come see us before we left our last day. He was great! We also loved going to the pool in the afternoon and hanging out. The pool was beautiful and the service there was also pretty awesome. We really enjoyed getting to know Nathaniel. He was very engaging and personable. He took the time to chat and joke around when we went to the bar and ordered drinks. We also really loved the service we received from Zahir. He bounced around the pool area constantly making sure everyone was taken care of and always looked so happy. There were several meals that we really enjoyed. We loved Bloom and Botanica at Zoetry and we had an awesome dinner at Batellino. The service in these restaurants was also great. We enjoyed Alex and Elyshia from Bloom. They provided great recommendations and great service. They were very attentive to us. We also had awesome service from Deveina and Fernando at Botanica. Fernando seated us and took the time to put incents around our table because my wife had gotten bitten and took time to chat with us and make sure we were taken care of. Deveina was a great server and helped us pick out meals. She new that the portion I ordered was small so brought me double order of the shrimp. It was a special touch. At Batellino we had two great servers. Felando for dinner and Anika for breakfast. They were both very personable and attentive. During our two visits at Zoetry we got to get to know Jason at the lobby bar. He was fantastic! We actually looked forward to going back to the second reservation and went early to hang out with him at the bar. He made awesome drinks and joked around with us. He has a wonderful personality! Generally the drinks were very consistent and really good. We also loved the coffee from Coco Café and the ice cream was so good! These are some of the things that we did not like. First, we did not love that we had to continually message and bother the butlers to get drinks at our IL Mare bungalow. It seemed like it would have been more efficient to have a dedicated server around the IL Mare beach area providing continual service to the guests. We also didn’t love having to send a message to the butlers to order room service at our bungalow. It would be more efficient to be able to order food through the app as with all other Hyatt all inclusive properties we’ve visited. This is the same for ordering things like hangers and other amenities. Second, the Dreams breakfast buffet left a lot to be desired. As did the Portofino dinner we had set up in the buffet area. Another thing that was really disappointing was the fact that there were several individuals that walked in and stayed in the IL Mare pool area and enjoyed the amenities for several days. This should be monitored, but people are able to walk into the pool area from behind the restaurant area and not be seen by the security guard sitting by the sea wall. There was a group of 6 individuals that ordered food poolside and gave a room number that was in the 600s and they were served without question and stayed in the pool. One day they were drunk and obnoxious. Each time we watched them enter and leave from the area behind the restaurant area. If this is not monitored, then why should individuals pay thousands more to stay in the IL Mare section. This was the most disappointing part of the trip.

Horrible experience. Extremely poor customer service the worst rooms possible. Terrible food and bufete. For someone to smile was like a miracle. The attention to detail the worst thing is that nobody seems to care whrn you complain

DO NOT STAY HERE! The food is undesirable. I’ve never been to a resort where they close the buffet. The rooms are outdated, supplies are limited. How do you run out of pins coloda mix, the steak house had one steak option on the menu. To say I was disappointed in an understatement.
