My wife and I stayed at this great resort in December for our 50TH wedding anniversary. We liked it enough to go back on 3/15/2026 for a week. The room was great , with a panoramic view of the ocean . Food and drink is available 24 hours a day. Food is plentiful and caters to any taste. There are 4 bars , one open 24 hours a day adjacent to a disco. the premises also has 4 restaurants, and a snack bar. What really sets this place apart is the staff , who have been without fail friendly, courteous and professional. The beach is beautiful with plenty of chaise lounges and the beach bar is just steps away. They have entertainment nightly and activities daily.

Our Review This was our 1st time to the resort, the rooms and resort were very clean, the staff our absolutely amazing from the management to the bar staff, cooks, maids everyone is happy smiles they all say hi and work very hard to please you and my wife had good allergies and they took care of everything and made us feel welcome and safe ! The drinks were all very good tried VIP a few days before leaving in my opinion was worth ever dollar whoever the standard drinks were very good as well ! The resort wasn’t to big which is perfect and after 11 pm was quiet which was ok by us tho you could always go to the sports bar anytime ! We have no complaints the staff worked very hard to keep us and others happy I would recommend this resort and we will be returning next year again. I would give it a 10/10
BEAUTIFUL RESORT! Extremely well managed! You can tell how much the staff care about this resort. I have been to many Riu hotels in Mexico, and this place put them to shame. The property is easy to navigate and was really well kept! Pools were clean, bathrooms were spotless with cold a/c and smelt fresh. The room was cleaned daily and I mean spotless. Room cleaning staff go above and beyond i must say! Drinks were strong and delicious! FOOD AMAZING! The beach was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! 5 stars all the way!
Spent two weeks here over Easter 2026. This should not be classed as a 4 star hotel. 3 star if we are being generous. There are numerous issues, none ruined the holiday but they all add up to impact your enjoyment. The hotel is about an hour and a half away from the airport. We spent $100 each way on a private transfer. The room we stayed in was tired. It was adequate and cleaned each day but there were marks on the walls and furniture and the sheets and covers. There are no hooks in the room at all, including the bathroom so it was impossible to hang anything up, including wet towels. There was a wardrobe with about five coat hangers. You end up with piles of clothes everywhere. We had a dressing table with no chair so we had no choice but to always sit on the beds. There was a large TV but no English language channels, apart from BBC World News. The WIFI is incredibly spotty, often dropping out entirely for minutes at a time. Streaming anything to a device is frustrating. This is an all inclusive resort so food is a core component. They have a buffet restaurant and then separate bookable restaurants. The buffet is fine. Food is nice, lots of choice and we always got a seat but it is very busy. We booked for the Dominican restaurant. It was awful. Essentially the same food the buffet serve but tweaked with different options and served to you. My meal and my wife’s was cold. Three couples during our meal, including us got up and left and went to the buffet. The other three restaurant options are fine. The staff are also a big part of the hotel and service varies wildly. We found the staff in the buffet friendly and often helpful. Shout out to Erika and Francesca who were always efficient and helpful. However other staff were often forgetful. We had one guy who came to us, to ask if we wanted water. We said yes please and it never arrived. We asked him three times as he did his rounds and still nothing. Had the same experience multiple times at breakfast where staff approached us, asked if we wanted coffee. When you ask for Tea, they say yes and never return. It’s quicker to get yourself a tea or coffee, there is a section with water, etc before the second dining area. Male staff at the pool bar were more interested in serving scantily clad women and asking them about their boyfriends than serving people who had been patiently waiting. It’s infuriating to be ignored while they roll out cliches and embarrass themselves with people half their age. This happened often. Staff occasionally came around the pool area to ask if we wanted drinks. They would return with the requested drink about 50% of the time. We once came back to find our room cleaned and every towel removed. We called to report this and nothing happened. Two further calls and a member of staff turned up at the room, without towels, to check we had no towels! She then wandered off and then, nothing! It took four calls and over three hours to resolve this in the end. Many of the staff speak only basic English. We often had to speak to multiple members of staff to get our questions answered, they would simply wave us over to another colleague if they didn’t understand or didn’t want to take the time to help. There is a gym here. It’s small. One step machine, one bike, two treadmills. That said if you used both at the same time it blew the fuse and switched both off; so effectively one treadmill. There are some free weights, couple of benches. Any more than 4 people and it’s crowded. And this is a big hotel. Mornings were manic, around 4pm was good. This is a noisy hotel. If your room is not on the outskirts of the complex, prepare for the boom of bass vibrating through the walls into the early hours. Make sure you bring ear plugs or a white noise machine. Last night, Saturday the 4th of April, the music did not stop until 02.16 hours. I remember specifically because I could not sleep, due to the noise. Every night there was loud music, people shouting. It was like being on an 18-30 holiday. This was referred to as a Spa Hotel. When we arrived we found the Spa area closed. We assumed because it was Sunday. We queried this and was told it would be open during the week. It was in fact closed for our entire 2 week visit. Very unimpressed. More annoyed that they lied to us about it. There is a small shop on site, very expensive. Many items are not priced up and you get the “tourist price” when you enquire. They tried to charge is $35 for a flask. The pool area and the surroundings are well kept. There are almost no umbrellas though so if this is important to you, you needed to get up early to put out your towels to secure your spot. If you are sat by the pool with the bar, be prepared to be blasted with competing music from the bar and beach. Bring headphones or you will be praying for a power cut. The hotel also seems to allow locals to visit for the day. In reality this means the pool is full of people, often fully clothed, communicating with each other through shouts, and drinking themselves silly during the day. Do not come here if you want your hotel to feel special. I saw lots of reviews praising the entertainment. I can only assume this is the first time they have ever been on holiday or are used to watching school plays put on by 5 year olds. It’s bad. The choreography looks like it’s made up on the fly. The content is mind numbing. The staff almost act like they are embarrassed to be up there, looking over and talking to each other mid performance. They each seem to be dancing to a different routine. To sum up our experience. We had a nice break, nothing we experienced broke the holiday, just daily annoyances. The beach is lovely and peaceful. That said, we would not return here and cannot recommend this hotel unfortunately.
