From Canada and usually not critical. Good holiday, but have some reservations. Be prepared. At check-in the "Supervisor" tried to up-sell us to a more premium room, when declined we were made to wait on our "regular" room and it was well past check-in time. Felt jerked around. In room do not expect an arm chair. There is only one desk chair so good luck to two persons. One will always be sitting on the bed. When asking for an arm chair, they delivered a cheap plastic patio chair. Disappointing. Food was up and down. Some great, some not so great even in ala carte restaurants the appetizer was "fried chicken and fries"?! Other meals great. Drinks not wonderful. House wine both red and white not great. Comes in a glass carafe so not sure of the source. Drinks otherwise seemed really watered down. Beach is great! Nice and long for walking. Don't expect too much for nightly entertainment, but we are not into that anyway. Spa is closed?! Sports - no tennis balls the day we wanted to play. Mini-golf is on concrete pads. Economical holiday! Our housekeeping staff very helpful! We made it work. Only 4 ala carte meals per week. Thanks for reading! Close to 20 years since we were in DR so wanted to give it a try.

Hotel coral coasts caribe was a wonderful experience. The beach was great. I had no issues with getting a beach chair. Anytime before 11 am is fine. Badminton on the beach was amazing. Water was great for wave jumping and floating and shell hunting. Beach has great shade for lounging and reading a good book or napping. There are sellers on the beach. I didn’t find the resort too busy any day. I would recommend getting involved with the animation team activities. We aren’t typically into that stuff but the charisma, humour, and enthusiasm of the animation team made these activities a highlight of the trip. I absolutely adored morning stretching/yoga with depo and games with peluche. The aquaaerobics (in the beach) was unexpectedly so much fun. The nighttime shows were also so much fun. I thought it would be cheesy but it was an evening highlight. The couples game show and the dance show were my favourite. The buffet was good. There was a great selection. Restaurants were okay. I really enjoyed the Tex mex and the Mediterranean. Also the coconut candy was amazing. I could eat that all day. The grill can be skipped if you’re short on reservations. I wish I just did the buffet every day. All the restaurant staff were great. There’s some issues with table changeover but we found timing buffet meals either at opening or after a full table seating good. We always found a seat. The bar staff were great. I love jésus’ special drink. I don’t know what was in it but it was awesome. We stayed in the north building block. We had no issues with noise. It’s a pretty standard hotel room. Maid service was amazing as well. No issues with check in or check out. Front desk staff happily answered all of our stupid questions: where do we make dinner reservations? Where is this restaurant? Where is equipment for tennis? How do towels work? A brochure with a map would go a long way. It’s not that big of a resort but the first day can be disorienting. Other activities included tennis, ping pong, lounging in the pool. Mini golf was a half dismantled course. I’d skip that. For other tourists I’d recommend bringing a deck of cards for the awkward gap around dinner before the evening activities start. This is an excellent and affordable resort. I would highly recommend the resort for first time all inclusive travellers and/or extroverted people. Tips (even small ones) go a long way. Given the affordable price compared to other resorts, this was an easy option for us. I will definitely be back. This was a long review for all the travellers that excitedly read reviews prior to their travel.

Beautiful hotel and beautiful location dining experience was very poor loads tables never cleared can never find a table and service from ladies is dreadful . Male waiters very helpful .but unfortunately there is more women then men . Evening entertainment was very poor . Maid service was excellent rooms very clean and comfortable could of done with more woadrobe space Noise was fine Food was excellent just a shame about service good value for money But we won't be returning
