Secrets Playa Esmeralda Resort & SPA

Our stay at Secrets Playa Esmeralda was absolutely incredible from beginning to end! The resort is beautiful, with immaculate, meticulously maintained grounds that made every walk feel like paradise. The food exceeded our expectations. Every meal was fresh, delicious, and offered plenty of variety. The highlight of our trip was our private butler, Jesus. He was attentive, friendly, and always one step ahead of anything we needed. Whether it was helping with reservations, checking in to make sure everything was perfect, or simply greeting us with a smile, he made our vacation feel truly special. His professionalism and genuine kindness made all the difference. The outstanding service from everyone at the resort, combined with the amazing food and beautiful surroundings, made this one of the best vacations we've ever had. We highly recommend Secrets Playa Esmeralda, and if you have the opportunity to have Jesus as your butler, you're in excellent hands. We can't wait to return!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Secrets Playa Esmeralda. The resort is beautiful, with stunning grounds, spacious rooms, excellent restaurants, and a wonderful beach. Every member of staff we met was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely committed to making our holiday special. A special thank you goes to SIMON, our Personal Butler, who was exceptional from the moment we arrived until the day we left. Simon was always attentive, professional, and incredibly responsive, making sure every request was handled quickly and efficiently. Whether it was helping with restaurant reservations, checking in to make sure everything was perfect, or simply offering advice and assistance throughout our stay, he consistently went above and beyond. His warm personality and dedication made a real difference to our holiday and is exactly the level of service you hope for at a luxury resort. Simon is a real credit to Secrets Playa Esmeralda, and we are very grateful for everything he did for us. Thank you to Simon and the entire team for making our stay so memorable. Secrets playa Esmeralda is a beautiful property on a fantastic beach. The design of the property is very appealing and well thought out. The beach, unlike Punta Cana, was sargassum free 6 out of seven days. If you like to play in the waves the beach is great. If you want a calm beach experience just take a short walk around the bend. The rooms were very well designed and appointed. The pool experience was great. They had both an active pool and a calm pool. The service was very friendly and prompt at all bars and restaurants. The food seemed great if you don’t have any restrictions. As a plant based eater the only restaurant that I was able to have a good meal was the buffet. Unfortunately it was only open twice for dinner. The veggie selections at the sit down restaurants were a complete disappointment. The good news is after 14 days of all inclusive I lost 3 pounds!!! That’s rare. If you don’t have any restrictions then I would highly recommend Secrets Playa Esmerelda!!

We just returned from an amazing 7-day stay at Secrets Playa Esmeralda with my sister and my mom. The resort is absolutely beautiful, and our rooms were spacious, modern, and very comfortable. We stayed in the Preferred Club section in a partial ocean view room on the 4th floor, which was a great location. Our three favorite restaurants were Castaway (steakhouse), Bordeaux (French), and Rosewater (the Preferred Club restaurant). For breakfast, we mainly alternated between the buffet and Rosewater, both of which offered excellent selections. We also loved the fresh pizza from the Barefoot Grill—it became one of our favorite lunches! The drinks at the Preferred Club pool bar were consistently excellent, and one of our favorite evening traditions was listening to the pianist at the Piano Bar each night around 6:30 p.m. It created such a relaxing atmosphere before dinner. The beach is absolutely gorgeous. One of the things we enjoyed most was being able to walk for hours in either direction, taking in the beautiful coastline. A special thank you to our butler, Thomas, who was incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay. He truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. We also really enjoyed the daily activities. Many were unique and unlike anything we’ve experienced at other resorts. The hat painting and jewelry-making workshops were especially fun and a nice change from the usual resort entertainment. Overall, we had an incredible week. Between the beautiful resort, excellent food and drinks, outstanding service, gorgeous beach, and fun activities, Secrets Playa Esmeralda exceeded our expectations. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend it

The resort is absolutely beautiful. The rooms were very spacious & clean. The beach is one of the most beautiful we have ever been to. We stayed in a king master suite oceanfront. Was worth the money. Simon was our butler & he was great! The staff was very nice. Kenny & Febi at the preferred lounge were the best!
