Viva Miches by Wyndham

Stayed at viva miches by wyndham for 14 nights june 8-22nd. Absolutely fantastic experience, couldn't fault the staff from the moment we checked in to leaving. Rooms were spotless,staff erre aways smiling, singing and dancing. All the drinks were very strong and to an excellent standard. Food in the buffet was always plentiful. Tried all 4 special restaurants, all but the Mediterranean were fantastic. Unfortunately the service in the Mediterranean was poor, slow service, had to wait for an extra 10 minutes for my food while the other 3 came

Please read if English: First, it’s important to note that this hotel is not in Punta Cana, despite being advertised that way by some travel companies. The resort is actually located in Miches, which is a considerable distance from Punta Cana, so be prepared for a much longer transfer than expected. During our stay, another nearby hotel suffered a fire and many of its guests were relocated to this resort. While we understand this was not the hotel’s fault, the sudden increase in guests made the resort feel overcrowded, and there was no compensation or acknowledgment of the disruption caused to existing guests. The food and beverage service was inconsistent. There was often a shortage of glasses, making it difficult to get drinks, juice stations frequently ran empty, and soft drinks were not available at breakfast. The beverage machines also seemed to be out of order on a regular basis. We were disappointed by the service in some areas of the resort, particularly in the main restaurant and bar. Communication was difficult due to the lack of English spoken by some staff members, and at times we felt that English guests were treated less favourably and encountered rude behaviour. On a positive note, the staff in the smaller speciality restaurants were outstanding. They provided excellent service, were attentive, and couldn’t do enough to make our dining experience enjoyable. Tipping appears to play a significant role in the level of service received. If you’re not regularly tipping, the all-inclusive experience can feel quite different, and at times it seemed like guests who tipped received noticeably better attention. We also had to ask to have our room changed as the first room balcony was first floor ‘garden’ view which was a swamp and was facing a fence lol. They upgraded us to the 3rd floor which was better but still don’t why you would pay additionally for a sea view. The pools were clean and well maintained, which was a highlight of the resort. However, there was a serious lack of umbrellas and shaded areas around the pool. I had to visit Guest Services twice before additional shade was provided, which shouldn’t have been necessary. Overall, while the resort has some positive aspects, particularly the speciality restaurants and clean pool areas, there are several issues that need addressing to provide the level of service expected from an all-inclusive holiday four star hotel! we do not feel the resort offers good value for money. As a result, we will not be returning to Viva Miches by Wyndham, nor would we recommend this resort to family, friends, or other travellers. We are very tolerable as a couple but feel very failed and influenced to come to this resort based on its reviews and wouldn’t want anyone else to make the mistake. I feel like it was almost a chore to receive service and when you’re on holiday you’ve paid a lot of money for you expect good service especially for a 4*.

Our experience at Viva Miches by Wyndham was absolutely wonderful! The resort was beautiful, the staff was welcoming and attentive, and there was always something fun and engaging happening throughout the day. The atmosphere was family-friendly and relaxing. The restaurants were awesome. A special thank you to the nutritionist Meagan, who did a fantastic job organizing and leading nutrition activities for the children. She brought the kids together in a fun and interactive way, helping them learn about healthy eating and nutrition while keeping them engaged and excited. The combination of a beautiful destination, hospitality, and meaningful educational and wellness experiences made this trip unforgettable. We would highly recommend Viva Miches to families and anyone looking for an enjoyable and enriching vacation experience. We can’t wait to come back

Date attended was march 2026, I am an Experienced traveller with over a dozen trips to all inclusives in the Caribbean. Viva miches is an overall good resort. The food at the buffet was ok, the only al acart i liked was the tapaniacki. The beach is also ok, its not crystal clear blue beach but still good, calm because its in a cove, and no seaweed. Its a nice long walking beach if you like that. Only 4-5 other resorts in the area but they were about a mile away. The drive is abou An hour and a half from punta cana airport. I wasn’t a fan of all the stray cats around the resort… Rooms are small but clean, neet and tidy. Beds are ok The resort is a newly built resort so everything is new and no sign of wear and tear. The night shows are good. Its a smaller resort but thats ok. It has everything you need. Side note… the icecream shop should be free!! First resort ive ever been too where i had to pay for something like that.. drinks were good and plenty of alcohol. Now for the best part of the trip…..The animation team was the best animation team ever!. Friendly, genuine, and made sure everyone was having a good time and included in activities. Lots of security around the resort Over all i give this little gem of a resort a 4 out of 5.

Where do I start? I am currently on my third day at this resort with my husband, my best friend, and her boyfriend. The resort itself is beautiful, very clean, and clearly brand new. The beach is stunning, and the property has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, the service has been extremely disappointing. The majority of the staff we have encountered have been unfriendly and, at times, outright rude. On multiple occasions, we have been waved away or told to wait while trying to order drinks, despite several staff members standing behind the bar with little to do. Service is consistently slow, and when drinks are finally served, there is rarely any greeting, smile, or sense of hospitality. Instead, it often feels as though guests are inconveniencing the staff simply by placing an order. Having worked in customer service and hospitality myself, I understand that these jobs can be demanding. However, providing basic courtesy and professionalism is part of the guest experience, especially at a resort where people are spending their hard-earned money to enjoy a vacation. Another major disappointment has been the drinks. The alcohol appears to be heavily watered down and is virtually undetectable in most cocktails, which has been frustrating throughout our stay. While the beach and grounds are beautiful, the poor service and disappointing beverage quality have significantly impacted our overall experience. Based on our stay so far, we would not choose to return. If you’re looking for a beautiful beach and a modern property and don’t place much importance on service, this resort may still be a good fit. However, if friendly hospitality and quality drinks are important parts of your vacation experience, you may want to consider other options. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as I am clearly not the first guest to mention concerns about staff friendliness and customer service.
