Bahia Principe Luxury Tenerife

Really enjoyed our holiday at the Luxury Tenerife hotel. All the staff were friendly and polite. The daytime/evening entertainment was first class. Special thanks to Sidney,Ash and Erica.

After 14 years going to the sister hotel, which is being renovated, we thought we'd give next door a try. We are just back from 2 weeks at the new BP Luxury Tenerife hotel. They've done a nice job on renovations, except when it rained, as it did for the last 3 days. The Lobby bar sprung a leak in the roof by the toilets and the jewelry shop had to shut because of water. Drains couldn't cope so no change there then. We enjoyed the stay the staff wonderful as usual. The new buffet was great, nice lay out and good selection of food at all mealtimes. I think they are going to have bother with the so-called Solarium as there are no, or very few umbrellas to be had. Staff say no more to be had. The bar situation in the evening needs sorting as there are not enough waiters going around to serve. Mary was wonderful, as ever, on the pool bar plus the fact we can get branded spirits too, shame about the Tonic though - Fever Tree or Schweppes would be nice. The room comfortable enough but the open plan bathroom is a bit odd. There weren't enough hangers but luckily, we took some foldup ones. Water was replenished every day. We didn't use the mini bar or coffee machine. The dressing gowns would have been a nice touch if they'd have fitted...LOL. All in all, a nice stay, relaxing and good but not a luxury hotel and not really worth the price charged, maybe things will change but I doubt it. Roll on the new BP Explore Costa Adeje opening up again. Yes, they've changed the name when becoming part of Hyatt. They are now BP Escape Tenerife and BP Explore Costa Adeje.

Everything is amazing, the room is huge & comfortable The view from the room is tremendous Staff are lovely and helpful I booked it for my birthday & they upgraded my room I will definitely come back The pool The drinks Everything was perfect

Beautifully renovated, fabulous staff. Bit out of the way but we did know this, so not a problem. There is a bus twice a day available from the hotel. Great coastal walk but wear trainers. Food Buffet - very fresh and cook to order re stir fry, pasta and daily meats/fish. Tea, coffee and fizz readily available at breakfast. lunch and evening just as good but wine and beer as well. Steak restaurant, beautifully decorated however our roast veg was mush, staff did offer to replace but we declined. one week stay ment we ate at the al la carte once, hence steak restaurant, didn't see a lot of beef steak unless you paid extra, however I did have the entrecote which was lovely. Side sea view junior suite was lovely and we had a full sea view ! 11402 room number. Take your own pillow, I always do. Horrid hard pillows supplied. {If your paying for the upgraded AI you do have a pillow menu } I admit I did not ask if I could change my pillow at the time so this may be a bit unfair. Lovely spacious, clean room and bathroom. Very pleased to find a dressing table with electric socket and great lighting, very much appreciated. Bed very comfortable. No complaints but a thought for the designers of rooms, I am 5ft tall {152cm} could barely reach the hooks for the towels and the tap to rinse my mouth. Also if you get up in the night, I would suggest you leave the blind down or the automatic light will blind your companion..... Plenty of sun beds but certainly not full. Lovely heated pool. The two lovely girls on entertainment during the day were so very very good and friendly. A real bonus to this hotel. Ash and ....oh sorry, fabulous italian lady. Bit of noise from the sister hotel being revamped, did not bother us. BUT if you stay for one week your mini bar will be refilled once.....except water which is daily. Take your own coffee capsules and may be tea bags and milk. Or, collect tea bags and milk from breakfast and restock yourself. I did find this a very strange and I have never ever only had a minibar replenished once............I did put my thought on paper to the management at the time and do accept that this may seem a tad silly but it did annoy us. Overall a good experience and the staff really are wonderful.

We booked a last minute 6 night break at the Adults only Bahia Principe at half term to escape the awful English weather. Well we certainly weren't disappointed. Both the hotel and weather were fabulous. We stayed in the Club area on AI which had its own pool and sunbathing area with loungers and bali beds available. This was was so relaxing and never had more than around a dozen people around it as well as access to the Club Lounge to get drinks and snacks throughout the day. Food in the buffet restaurant was varied and plentiful which is why we always ate there. Evening entertainment was low key but the singers/groups we saw were enjoyable and often got guests singing along and dancing. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially those behind Reception. Our room was was clean and comfortable with a lovely sea view. The hotel itself was kept clean by the large number of staff who were always around making sure everything was spotless. The daily shuttle bus into Playa De Las Americas at 4.50 Euros return was a nice touch and we used it a couple of times. This was because about the only downside of this hotel is the location. There is not much around and the walk into the nearest larger populated area is down a steep hill, so not great if you have walking difficulties, although there is a bus you could get from the top of the road if you want to explore away from the hotel. However watching the hang gliders land on the derelict area at the back of the hotel is fascinating. Overall this was a good choice for a relaxing break, and if that is what you're after this hotel is ideal.
