FERGUS Puerto de la Cruz

Krásný udržovaný 4* hotel, usměvaví vstřícný personál....stravování na perfektní úrovni, každý si nevybere z mnoha ingrediencí kvalitních jídel, každý večer jiná specialita. Některé komentáře jsou evidentně od konkurence.....není co vytknout.....v tomto hotelu jsme už po druhé a vždy super.....čisto.

We came to the hotel on the 29th October and did not enjoy our stay. The activities for children was really poor , lack of engagement and staff were more leaning towards Spanish people than anyone else. The activity team could have made this experience better but it was what it was. The food in the hotel was nice at times but I just feel the lack variety as well. There might have been a queue for food and then I have gone up when the queue had gone to be told by chef that there was no more food available (to what he was grilling) this was extremely disappointing especially having an all inclusive wrist band. The bedrooms are spacious & has a nice little town located close by but walking back is a challenge because it’s all up hill too. The staff in the hotel were friendly and helped as much they could but

Arrived at 2330pm and was greeted by a welcoming memeber of staff, really quick and informative checkin, we were half board plus, we were on first floor, room 128 with a pool view. The room was very big with 2 single beds together, spotless, floors really clean and balcony with table and 2 chairs again spotless, bathroom spacious with smaller than usual bath and shower, bath was not an issue as we only use shower. Slept every night without fail, rooms done daily and towel change daily, no complaints at all cleaning staff there early morning till late at night. Did not see one bug or ant or cockroache Staff were superb any issues were prompltly rectified, had an issue with my safe was replaced with in 10 minutes. Bar staff again quick, attentive and no issues. Can not fault the staff or cleanliness of the hotel. Poolside was cleaned, and hosed down everyday and no so called sunbed wars. Now the only reason to give a 4 and not a 5. The food, cold if your lucky, warm if you go right on time. As you eat the same food as all inclusive its really a hit or a miss but more of a complete miss. We ate out most of time. Hotel at top of hills 10 minute walk down, taxi back up at a meagre 4 euro 50, not really suitable for people with mobility issues. Would come back if self catering was an option,

We stayed for six nights and the hotel was lovely. The two pools are a descent size and the staff were every friendly and accommodating. The room was comfy with air con but our TV remote didn't work the batteries had erroded. Lovely bath with jacuzzi and shower The downsides were: it's was on top of a hill so every where you went you had to tackle the hill climb. Food: Food wasn't very good for our family we quite fussy eaters and there wasnt enough British type food it was mainly fish and pasta. They did have hot dogs and burgers at snack time but not at lunch or dinner. We stayed during Halloween and it was nice to see the hotel go all out with excellent decorations and all staff members dressed up and even served drinks with fake smoke coming out . It really made our holiday seeing all the Halloween decorations and events .

The best thing about this hotel is the lovely staff. It is generally clean but some areas need a little TLC. The food was disappointing and nowhere near the standard we've had at other hotels with the same star rating.
