Stayed 08.11 to 15.11.25 room 131. Room was great, overlooking the pool, nice balcony, nice big beds, modern, clean and tidy, small fridge but no kettle which was much needed. Quite noisy with being near the lift, elderly Spanish friends shouting goodnight for an hour each evening. 2 pool areas, we used main pool (freezing cold) which was lovely, beds a bit close together but in very good condition, small tables and chairs close the very small bar area and by the ping pong table but not enough, drinks were ok, not the greatest selection. Top pool was up lots of steps and didnt have an all inclusive bar. Activity staff were always pleasant and included everyone. Most staff were lovely apart from braces man in the food hall, surly on a good day, ignorant most of the time. Reception staff were fantastic always. Food - breakfast by far the best meal of the day, plenty of choice and much to our liking, always a shortage of cups, lunch and dinner had lots of food but not much to our liking. At every meal food was cold except the soup and grill cooking, even if you went in as soon as it opened. Be prepared to push your way in and fight off all the elderly spanish guests who queue outside then sit at reserved tables for the whole 2/3 hours shovelling in as much food as possible. No terrace to sit outside, relax and enjoy a coffee in the sun after your breakfast as not allowed to take drinks outside the food hall. We didnt mind being on the hill, we walked the five minutes to the cafes, restraunts and bars in La Paz, we liked it there and ate out at Black Sea and Mother India plus others, we liked bar Apricot. We went into PDLC three times, walked to coast and went up the hills, its a nice pleasant town with things to see and do. Always got a taxi back for 5 euros. All in all hotel felt like a city break not a holiday, very much catered for local guests rather than other european guests, I would return for a bit of winter sun but definately not as a main summer holiday. Any questions please ask and I will try to help.

Arrived with my elderly mother for a quick 3 day break and defo not 4 star at all- 3 at best positive notes - the room- decent, . Was given room 130 and was cleaned daily and my mother is disabled so was perfect for us as had an adapted bathroom Staff- everyone had a smile on their face and was approachable (apart from one waitress called Rebecca in the buffet- I saw her argue with a Spanish guest, and she was very rude on a few occasions I saw. Maybe management need to speak to her !! Pool- we only used the down pool but was ok and was able to get a sun lounger Negatives Location- if was on top of a very steep hill so was hard to go out due to my moms mobility so was stuck in hotel and also the top pool was accessed by steps - not good for people with mobility issues Food at buffet- the selection was mediocre at best but EVERY meal I had was luke warm not even hot Entertainment- the entertainment staff in day tried their best but the night entertainment was awful most was in Spanish and not enough seats for everyone so we were back in our room early due to this - people were sitting down stupidly early to get a seat Drinks- spirits fine but the cocktails there were 4 available on AL I tried them all -DISCUSTING! U had to pay for the others 6euros a time - awful for AL All in all we didn’t enjoy ourself and luckily we were only there for 3 days - anymore we probs would of upped and stayed elsewhere - the hotel was also more catered for older people - 80% of the guests were over 60yrs. I was a few younger than me but not many, so a lot is catered to that
