Hotel sam o sobe je nadherny. Zvenku, uvnitr, atrium, zahrady, bazeny, ta nejvic top bufetova restaurace, i vetsina cisniku a lide z recepce jsou mili, krasne to vsude voni ... ALE? Na 5* spousta nedotazeni. I kdyz ma clovek plnou penzi a dokoupi si napoje na den “bez omezeni” za nemale penize, ceka trapne jak pitomec, nez si ho nekdo na baru vsimne a pak jeste musi podepisovat ucty.., to neni normalni. Malem jsme kolikrat v tom horku umreli zizni a to si sli jen pro vody! Nealko, nebo aspon vody, by mely byt volne kdykoliv pristupne a ne na objednavani! Uklid pokoju - u nas tragedie. 5dni jsme cekali na vylesteni zrcadel od neciho cela, ze srandy do nej kremem udelali i oci a nos. Vymena rucniku az po 3dnech, kdy jsme si o to vylozene rekli, pak prevlekla i postele, jinak by nic nebylo. Hlavni bufet restaurace - uzasna!!! Jen ty cekacky u vchodu dosti ponizujici. Ale resi to moznost objednani terasy na cas, coz je skvele a vyuzivali jsme. Sushi restaurace = tragedie! Cekali jsme 1/2hodiny nez nam dali vodu, dalsich 15min na kartu, ostatni hosty dosle po nas pritom obsluhovali. Personal neprijemny, az arogantni. Jidlo chabe, se sushi x japonskymi delikatesami nema co cinit. Obdobne strasne i Osa bar na veceri. Myslim, ze je stale co u zamestnancu v takovem hotelu napravovat x je vice hlidat. Aby meli hoste opravdu pocit, ze si za sve penize patricny nadstandart uziji a nebudou mit pocit, ze jsou prehlizeni ci na obtiz. Kazdopadne - pres vse vyse napsane to byl skvely zazitek a verim, ze se nekdy opet vratime. Urcite doporucuji, ze zkusenosti z jinych hotelu na Tenerife byl tento opravdu TOP.

Amazing week. The staff were all so good and friendly to us and the children. A special thank you to Laura at the mini club for putting in real effort with our girls she is really good at her job. Mohamed was also lovely who greeted us at some of the restaurants. The chefs in the buffet were all so friendly under very stressful and hot circumstances - they were the best I have ever come across at hotel buffets. Particular the ladies doing the eggs in the mornings and also the young men doing the chicken and steaks in the evening. We had a one bedroom suite on the 5th floor it was spacious and had a jacuzzi bath. The room was a little bit tired but very clean and the cleaning staff did an amazing job all week. Our room was 5148.. the food was really good we used the buffet mostly for dinner as we didn’t want time constraints on reservations with two small children it worked out well and we were happy every night. Lunch was amazing at agave and oasis very very good quality and well cooked food. The pools were lovely and warm as advertised we particularly enjoyed the pirate pool and splash pad which was in a separated compound within the hotel which we found much safer for the children. Farah was amazing here serving us drinks she was so so friendly and helpful. We will return to this hotel for sure. It has been our favourite in Tenerife so far.

After reading too many recent negative reviews on this hotel, we were concerned that we'd made a mistake in rebooking for a 2nd visit. Our first was 4 years ago in the Red level (which was ok) This time we did AI in a deluxe partial ocean view room and we couldn't be more happy with our choice. From check in to check out, the service, food, facilities and general atmosphere was truly amazing. We flew with Jet2 and opted to get a local taxi as the private transfers and coach were either too expensive or too lengthy in duration. 60 euros and 30 mins each way was perfect. Travelling in April after Easter was key as the hotel was at 60% and we never struggled to get a sunbed or book any facility (apart from restaurants) this was painful but the hotel know there is a problem and are dealing with it. Pangea (food market) was perfect on the 4 occasions we used it. Anyone who wants to keep up with current affairs, the TV options had BBC1, 2, ITV and 4 plus Sky News - which is quite rare for a Spanish hotel. We were so impressed with the holiday, we are considering the Circle membership - one tip if you're approached is to do this early in the holiday as you don't have time to make a decision. Some negatives (but manageable) - There is no Iron as advertised by Jet2 in the room (steamer only) which is great for dresses but not mens shirts etc. I asked several times for a steam iron and got one on our last day! I do think steamers are more dangerous than irons at times! The mini bar was feeble and not included in the AI package - 2 bottles of Estrella that was it. This could and should be looked at for all rooms regardless of package i.e. wine, miniatures etc should be offered. The Sports area was great and my wife enjoyed the classes each morning - a great selection throughout the week. 18 Euros for paddle was a shock but understandable. All in all, we had an amazing time and I hope this hotel keeps up the great standards and service. I cant comment how it would be on full capacity other than the meal bookings will definitely get much harder to make. As per my title - don't read into everything that's negative here - we will definitely be back

I recently stayed at Gran Meliá Palacio and, unfortunately, this visit fell well below the standard I have previously associated with the brand. From the outset, the room I was assigned was noticeably lacking in both cleanliness and overall upkeep. Surfaces, furnishings, and general presentation felt tired and poorly maintained. Based on the condition of the room and surrounding areas, the hotel currently reflects a three-star standard at best, with clear shortcomings in cleanliness and maintenance (please refer to the photos). What made this particularly disappointing is the contrast with our previous stays at the same property during 2023, which were of a significantly higher standard. The difference in overall condition and attention to detail feels like night and day compared to the experience this time. What made this more apparent was that I was shown other rooms of the same category a few floors above, which were significantly cleaner and better presented. However, these rooms were only available at a significant additional cost of €690, with the only noticeable difference being that they were properly cleaned! This highlighted a concerning inconsistency in standards across the property. There also appeared to be a lack of coordination between departments. During the call, I was offered the option to change rooms, which I declined as we had already settled in. I was also asked whether I had enjoyed a special gift that had supposedly been left in my room as a goodwill gesture. Upon returning, there was no such item present, leaving no clarity as to what was being referred to. This reflects a broader issue with communication and internal alignment. Additionally, every evening the area surrounding room 2011 was affected by a strong and persistent odour resembling sewage and sulphur. This began daily from around 10pm. Despite windows and doors being closed, the smell would still permeate the room, making the environment unpleasant and difficult to tolerate. Our dining experience at the Pangea restaurant also raised serious concerns. We observed food being cross-contaminated, with the chef using the same tongs to handle raw chicken and then immediately serving us cooked steaks. As a result, we changed our plates after witnessing this practice and did not eat the steaks served to us. Following this incident, we did not feel comfortable returning to the restaurant for the remainder of our stay. The pool area was also disappointing, with visible issues in cleanliness and upkeep. The pool itself did not appear to have been cleaned for several days, and surrounding areas—including glass surfaces and sunbeds—were noticeably dirty, worn, and poorly maintained (please see photos). What was particularly disappointing was that this stay coincided with a birthday, which ultimately did not feel special. The “gesture” referenced during the call appeared to be a bottle of cava and a selection of desserts left in the room; however, these had been left in direct sunlight for around 5 hours and were not in a condition we felt comfortable consuming… Additionally, this offering felt impersonal and routine rather than a considered gesture. It is something we have received on previous stays, and on each occasion, no effort has been made to understand guest preferences (for example, whether we drink alcohol), resulting in the cava consistently being left untouched. Overall, staff interaction throughout the issues raised was limited in terms of resolution, and there was little indication of an attempt to address or rectify the concerns during the stay. The quality of food in both the restaurants and room service was also notably disappointing, falling below even a mediocre standard compared to previous visits. While the hotel has the potential to meet its positioning, in its current state it falls significantly short in terms of maintenance, consistency, and guest experience. This was once an amazing and spectacular hotel, but now only a vague memory of that standard remains

Absolutely stunning hotel within gorgeous grounds and very comfortable rooms. Only 25 mins from the airport. From check-in to check-out the whole experience was a pleasure, there isn't anything that the staff cant help you with and always with a smile. Wonderful service from Franco and the team at the adults only pool. The a la carte restaurants are something else, lots of choice but get booked in early. The whole place was immaculate, the gardens beautiful and the staff on any issues with maintenance very quickly. We were lucky enough to meet Patrick and Rio from the circle team on the 3rd day of our holiday, who gave us so much useful information regarding the hotel, hotel chain and options for further holidays. They both feel like friends! We are now part of the circle team which is a great way to plan holidays with no effort and with a huge choice of beautiful resorts. We cant wait for our next holiday. So pleased we have found this hotel. We will be back!!
