We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at the Meliá Costa Atlantis. The hotel’s social spaces, including the bar and reception, were beautifully designed—both inviting and aesthetically pleasing, making them lovely areas to spend time in. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the balcony offered a sea view, which was a highlight. However, the bathroom felt a little dated and could benefit from some modernisation to match the overall style of the hotel. The food was enjoyable throughout our stay. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and dinners were generally very good, although the selection did vary in quality on different evenings. The pool area was ideal for relaxing, and the hotel’s location is excellent. We especially loved strolling along the promenade and stopping for coffee along the way—it really added to the experience. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would happily return.

I am staying here right now and echo many of the reviews of many previous customers. No bed side tables with draws, is annoying. The quality and consistency of breakfast is very hit and miss ( the poor chef frying eggs at busy times cant cope with demands) waiters are very efficient. The housekeeping staff are very nice, but sometimes rooms are not cleaned until 4pm and we have to constantly ask for coffee refills. There are no Ice machines available and the front desk advise getting ice from the bar, for the most part that works and many bar staff have been friendly and accommodating ( apart from the odd rude female member of staff that makes life difficult ) . Spa is good, but €25 for 90 mins is a bit much and is probably the only reason the hotel gets 4 stars. Massages can be obtained locally for half the price on offer at the hotel. . Pool gets busy but is well managed and clean. We booked Melia Torremolinos a month ago which was excellent and the reason we chose Melia Costa Atlantis . However, they are not the same quality and Atlantis lags far behind.

We visited the Meliá Costa del Sol in February, just a few days before the February half-term. We’d booked in advance online and managed to get a great deal for half board. We travelled with our four-year-old son. The hotel is quite a distance from the south airport, so we arranged transfers in advance through a budget company we found on Facebook, which worked well for us. The hotel itself overlooks the sea, and the views are absolutely beautiful. Before arriving, we had emailed to mention that this trip was part of our honeymoon. Although we were told we’d be greeted with a drink, this didn’t happen, and there wasn’t any special touch on arrival—but this didn’t take away from our overall experience. Reception staff were really helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The hotel is clean, modern, and has a lovely pool, which was warm enough to swim in even in February—our son absolutely loved it. We mainly used the restaurant for breakfast. The selection was decent and enjoyable (especially the chocolate muffins, which were a big hit with our son!), though it could have been topped up a bit more regularly. We only had dinner there on the first night, and personally, I don’t think I’d have wanted to eat there every evening. Once half-term started, it did get busier, and there were definitely some “sunbed wars,” with people reserving loungers from as early as 7am but not using them until much later. To the hotel’s credit, they responded quickly by bringing in more sunbeds, which helped resolve the issue. We love Costa del Cruz—it’s such a lovely area. The Lago Martiánez (lido) is just along the road, and there are some fantastic restaurants and bars nearby. We especially enjoyed The Beehive and The Gramophone. There’s also a launderette just along the road, which we ended up using, as the hotel charged the same rate for washing a child’s clothes as an adult’s, which didn’t seem great value. The launderette was convenient and reasonably priced. Another big plus is that the Loro Parque train is within walking distance, making it easy to get around and explore. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel
