Melia Jardines del Teide

My husband and I have just returned from a week's stay here. We had booked a sea view room. Our room view had a tiny bit of sea visible but as we had a massive wrap round balcony with our own sun loungers that more than made up for it. Breakfast was great. They brought coffee and milk in warm jugs to each table and they had tea pots to make your own tea which I loved as I like a few cups with breakfast. Dinner was plentiful too but we found it we went to late it wasn't as many choices and wasn't always that warm. Every member of staff greeted you with a warm friendly manner which seemed genuine and they all seemed to enjoy their work. Special mention to Alexandos ( I think) and Jesus at the pool bar. So pleasant and friendly. All in all a great holiday and would definitely recommend

We visited for our honeymoon & wow what a beautiful hotel! The views were beautiful, food was amazing, staff were the happiest and friendliest hotel staff I have ever encountered. Absolutely loved our stay, so much so myself and my husband talk daily about how nice our holiday was. Facilities are great, hotel was so beautiful inside and out. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff. We stayed all inclusive for 7 nights, food became a little repetitive towards the end of our stay however everything was well presented and tasty. Music was a little loud if you are in bed early but it finishes by 11ish so not too much of an issue. We read reviews before visiting and the negatives I read stated food was cold (it wasn’t when we went!), lots of stairs (there’s lifts basically everywhere so I’m unsure why people have said that) and that it’s mainly for the older generation. We are late 20s and very early 30s & had a blast! We didn’t feel like the youngest couple there by a long shot. Adults only was the perfect touch for us, we have 3 children and were travelling without them, so we wanted a relaxed atmosphere and that’s exactly what we got. In short, fabulous place, great food, amazing staff. Would absolutely come back again. We are already trying to plan our next visit. The only “downside” if I was being picky would be the minibar not being part of the all inclusive when it stocked the same water bottles you can ask for at any bar as part of all inclusive, beer which you could again get from a bar & some cans of Coke Zero (again you could get that at a bar), but it wasn’t an issue as we asked for bottled water during the day and left them in our room for when we needed them.

This was our first stay here - what an amazing hotel! We were greeted warmly and found the staff very friendly and helpful. We really liked the way that the hotel was set up - lots of little bridges, trees and water features dotted around on the different levels. The lookout tower was interesting - we went up to check out the views - worth a look! Our room was fantastic - we had everything that we could have wanted and there was a lot of storage. We loved the balcony and spent a lot of time out there. It was good to see a range of activities offered by the hotel for people that want them - we saw some of the capoeira demo and that was quite spectacular. The food was fresh and tasty - literally everything that you could want was on offer. Always well stocked up and looking appetising. We tried the Casa Nostra a couple of times - the food there was delicious and we were well looked after by Marcial and Angelo. We tried pasta and fish dishes there and they were all beautifully presented and tasty. Overall we had a great stay, impressed by everything - the staff were great, the hotel was immaculate and the service was perfect.

We had a fantastic time last week at the Meliá Jardines Del Teide, from initial check in, where we upgraded to sea view (room 633 can highly recommend), to check out, we just couldn’t fault anything. The most peaceful and quiet holiday we’ve ever had, and will certainly return. Special mention to Hector, works every day and night it seemed, but always with a smile. 😊

Stay clearly below expectations for an all-inclusive resort. Upon arrival, the reception showed disorganization and a lack of customer focus. The room initially assigned faced ongoing construction, with constant noise, and even had a broken bed — a completely unacceptable situation for a hotel of this category. In an attempt to resolve the issue, other rooms were suggested, all equally affected by the noise, along with confusing and inconsistent upgrade proposals (first unavailable, then only excessively expensive options). The situation was only resolved after intervention from the travel agency. A very unpleasant and frustrating start to the holiday, totally incompatible with the level of service expected from an all-inclusive concept.
