Melia Jardines del Teide

Absolutely loved our stay at Melia Jardine, we have just stayed in the level floor views down to the sea was stunning, staff are professional & extremely nice people & always welcome you with a smile, nice 8-10 minutes walk down to the beach & only 5 euro taxi there or back. We would definitely be staying here again in the future & recommend this hotel to friends.

We had a lovely stay at the Melia Hotel, the staff was amazing! Everything was very easy going no stress and overall relaxing which is what we wanted exactly! We booked half bored and the food was good. Generous selection of food at the buffet.

Stayed here last week hotel was amazing staff were brilliant food was amazing. Room was lovely. Housekeepers were in every day cleaning and changing bedding and towels and would fill mini bar up everyday. Definitely recommend going here x

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel. Rooms are spacious, modern and clean with Rituals toiletries. Decent hairdryer. Food in the buffet restaurant was excellent. A good choice and one of the best all inclusive buffet restaurants I’ve been to. Indoor and outdoor eating with lovely views. Paco provided excellent service and was a joy. Freshly made cocktails and superb choice. Great service at the lobby bar and pool bar. Ramon and Jonathan were lovely. All staff were great. Evening entertainment was good and something on most nights, we were told the weekdays tend to have more on than over the weekend. Beautiful pool area with lots of sunbeds and views out over the sea. As the hotel is built into the hillside there are always lovely views but also lots of steps! We didn’t upgrade to the level and didn’t feel it was worth it. The level pool is next to the restaurant with limited views and overlooked by rooms above. We were a little disappointed that there was no a la carte option for our 4 night stay. The grill restaurant by the pool, which is now payable, used to be the poolside bar and restaurant. It’s a shame this changed as it would have been lovely to be able to use it within the AI package. You can get food in the lobby bar from 3pm though so we used that as an alternative to the buffet. All in all, had a great time, lovely staff, would not hesitate to return.

Having stayed in many Melia Hotels around the world, this supposedly 5star hotel was probably the least impressive. The room, described as a junior suite was small and very ordinary. The staff, with the exception of Chris the concierge who was exceptionally helpful, were nice enough but not very attentive. The food was extremely boring and offered the same dishes most nights. The beef lasagne had zero beef in it. One night in particular I chose the lamb, it was so chewy I had to spit it out, I decided to try the sweet and sour chicken instead… this however was positively INEDIBLE , the chicken was so tough that I couldn’t chew it into submission! Two years ago we stayed at the Gran Melia palacio de Isora also in Tenerife. The difference between the two hotels in night and day. Although both share 5 star status, they have nothing in common. The Gran Melia Palacio was absolutely fantastic, the staff were all incredible, and the food was utterly outstanding. I fail to understand why both hotels are rated 5 Star. Melia Jardines needs new management particularly in the kitchen. Costa Adeje however is beautiful.
