Sol Arona Tenerife

We went for a family holiday this week and had an absolutely amazing time. This kids club and kids entertainers were second to none, my boy had the best time and they were all so amazing with him and his autism. The only thing we could complain about is the occasional smell from the drains and almost being charged a 100 euro fee to clean our room which hadnt even been cleaned. It was sorted out by a lovely chap named paul i believe so big shout out to him! Thanks to all the staff you were amazing,

Stayed here a few years ago and it was a total dump and said id never stay in it again I took a risk on it based on the refurb and so glad I did. Simply can’t believe the difference they have made, sure it still looks grim from outside but inside from the moment you enter it is fantastic and much better than a 4* in Costa Adeje we moved on to for last few days Room with lounge is fantastic, very comfortable lounge with sofa, bathroom is now walk in shower, brand new towels and so much space. Bed was very comfortable with usb ports etc, only issue there was one really soft pillow each when it really need two or firmer pillows Corridors were grim previously but the only thing that remains is the lifts and fire doors , so much brighter and pleasant Only had breakfast food wise and it was ok nothing special Sure outside the pool gets busy but we pretty much had a first floor terrace to ourselves every day - really loud aqua aerobics session every day was a bit over the top volume wise tho I’d certainly return if they keep the place looking like this as it has easy location via public transport from airport and a 5 min walk into Los Cristianos centre I didn’t catch the young female receptionists name but she was so bubbly and helpful, explaining so much so us

This hotel has been refurbished and that is why we decided to stay here. It looks lovely but we were deeply disappointed with the quality and especially the temperature of the food in the dining room and at nearly every meal time we had to used the microwave. Food is way too cold and the breakfast is awful. Fried eggs are the worse we have ever experienced. They are cooked hours in advance and come out of a heater with cling film over the tray! Needless to say we tried them once but never again. We were all inclusive and the food at the snack it cooked and is put in a ‘hot unit’ but the burgers and hot dogs (very basic) could easily be in the hot unit for over an hour. Again after one day we never ate anything else from it. A huge disappointment Unless this hotel gets a grip of their food situation their ratings and reviews will plummet. There are far better hotels in Tenerife and in Los Cristianos and for that reason we will not be returning. Think carefully before booking! If you like lukewarm basic food go ahead but for a few pounds more you could go to a much better hotel.

Nothing as expected, had an upgraded room due to the bad smell in the original room. The upgraded room was very nice, PROS - This hotel is in a prime location and there’s a Siam waterpark bus stop right outside - this was a plus. - The skyline rooms are better. - The pool was okay and not too cold but very shallow ( I’m 5ft 7”) CONS - Don’t book All inclusive - it’s not worth it. You can do breakfast included or eat off the property. There’s many nice restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance. - The lobby always had a smell not sure if it’s the toilets. - PLATES ARE ALWAYS DIRTY IN THE RESTAURANT. - Not great entertainment for adults - needs some improvements. Shout out to Fabian at the pool bar and lobby bar. Very nice guy 👌with great customer service. Any points mentioned the hotel is aware of.

We had a fantastic stay at Sol Arona Los Cristianos and would happily return. We were on Bed & Breakfast basis and have to say the breakfast was lovely. Everything available from fresh fruit and yogurt to cold meats, cheeses, lovely fresh bread, pastries and hot food. The hotel itself has been recently refurbished and is spotlessly clean throughout. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, with a beautiful view overlooking both the sea and the pool. We enjoyed having a small balcony, with table, chairs, and even drying lines. The room was well-equipped with a kettle, fridge, and excellent air conditioning. There is free wifi. Housekeeping was great, with daily cleaning and new towels if required keeping everything fresh. The staff were welcoming and friendly. There was always plenty to do, thanks to the varied daily activities. The animation team were fantastic—enthusiastic, engaging, and passionate about what they do. In the evenings, there was entertainment in the reception area after the children’s disco. I joined in lots of activities from making Sangria and Mojitos to making Aloe Vera from scratch. I joined in the Aqua fitness classes too. The location is excellent- very central, with easy access to the promenade and a wide range of bars, restaurants, and shops nearby. Overall, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. It was a relaxing, fun, and memorable stay, and we would definitely visit again.
